Jason’s 19th

So inside the Gucci box lies the prettiest yet gayest Barbie purse ever.

It’s a prank gift i came up with for Jason. Bet you didn’t see that one coming!

Oh, and clappity to those who found out.

I tied a Gucci ribbon ever so professionally around the box and even put the box in a Gucci paper bag. It was foolproof.

I hope i didn’t crush your hopes, Jason. But i know that pair of Valliant Converse shoes (which is the actual gift) is exactly what you need now :)

Anyway, i know that Jason has a secret liking for the purse i got for him too. You’ll find out why soon enough.

______________________________

So last Friday we all went to Jason’s place to celebrate his birthday. I hitched a ride from Sue and i must say that her driving is freaking exciting, especially when you’re sitting at the back.

And despite the fact that we were late and the traffic was quite slow at one point, we managed to get there.. 30 minutes later than we were supposed to.

Fair enough.

We had pizza, spaghetti, and potato salad, yum!

After that we had the cake cutting session. Jason had a tough time blowing out the candles on his cake cause we used trick candles – candles that will reignite.

Then we had presents opening time ;)

COUPLE PIC! AGAIN!!

Cai Jin’s cake!

Pause.

That was the part when Jason found out that his “Gucci wallet” wasn’t really a Gucci wallet after all, captured on camera. Perfect timing, just look at his face.

He practically ROFLed when he found out. Seeing him like that made me laugh til my tears rolled out, hee!

Okay, moving on.

We played Taboo!

We divided ourselves into two groups:

Team Smart, we look damn winner right. HAHA!

Team SMARTER (boo)

Please don’t question me about the team names, haha!

We effing lost to Team Smarter by a few points.

Now, we had a discussion about whether should Ja
son use his new PURSE. We all said yes, and i dared him to. He was having second thoughts, but i know he’s tempted to. I mean come on, IT HAS GLITTERS!

If he uses it for ONE WEEK, i’ll treat him to a fancy lunch or dinner. I’ll be setting up a petition (poll) on my side bar for the fun of it :D

Should Jason use his new purse for a week?

PLEASE VOTE YES OR NO AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BLOG (side bar, above the chatbox)

Nuffnang Music Bash 2009

Have you ever thought of trying to dress up like a music celebrity?

Well i’m sure some of us did. Wouldn’t you want to try out Avril Lavigne’s funky dressing for once?

Or even for the fun of it?

Pink highlights, check.
Checkered mini skirt, check.
Fish nets, check.
Knee socks, check.
High heels, check.

Looking good. But there’s just one problem.

You missed the chanced to dress like Avril cause her concert in KL was last year. And if we really did dress up like that in public now, people will just give us that look.

That cock stare look.

Gotta admit that i would do that too.. sometimes.

Okay, forget Avril.

How bout Justin Timberlake?

The whole vest and blazer thing going on. And maybe even with the fedora hat. Stylish, no doubt.

But if we really did, people might think we’re overdressed!

So again with the cock stare..

Sien.

What’s up with our society?

Okay, so what if i told you that you can get a chance to dress up as any music celebrity you want AT A PARTY?

Think about the music and dancing involved!

And what if, i told you that you’ll get rewarded with a prize like a Sony Playstation 3 just by doing the best impersonation of a celebrity?

Hmm.. getting rewarded just to play dress up and party. Sounds too good to be true, right?

Well, IT’S TRUE!

There’s a party coming up and everyone is invited!

Nuffnang and Maxis are throwing a party in conjunction of the new Maxis USB Modem.

It’s the Nuffnang Music Bash 2009 and this party is giving us the chance to get down right crazy and creative!

Date: 4th of April 2009, Saturday
Time: 6 pm till 10 pm
Venue: Maison, Heritage Row of Kuala Lumpur
Dress code: Music celebrities

This costume party is like a passport to let us dress up as any artist we want!

Thinking about it makes me excited. Just how often do we have costume parties around other than the time during Halloween?

Costume parties are so much fun. But the only down side is deciding what to dress up as. And what can a girl like me possibly dress up as for this party?

I asked a couple of friends, and i hate to say that the answers i got were kinda weird.

Hik suggested that i should dress up as Paris Hilton. Or Lindsay Lohan. Around that category. And he said, “You are Paris Hilton type, accept it”.

But nooo, Yatz said don’t dress as Paris Hilton cause when i get to the party, i’m gonna see like 5 more other Parises. True enough.

So he gave me this brilliant suggestion to dress up as.. Bjork.

.. With the infamous swan dress.

Confirm win the best celebrity impersonator award. I’ll walk away with a Playstation 3 that night, HAHA! That is if i can get my hands on that swan dress.

Wait, that is if i even DARE to wear that thing!

.. NAHHH!

Well i do have a couple of ideas of my own.

The easiest would be dressing up as Katy Perry. Just put on a pin-up looking dress and a heavy set of eyelashes, and i’m done!

Yes?
No?
Maybe so?

Mmm well, my next option would be dressing up as Lady GaGa.

This one is a little extreme.

I’ll need a blonde wig. And i’ll have to figure out how am i gonna get that lightning print on my face. But nonetheless, it’s a cool choice.

Anyway, i’m gonna need more suggestions. Maybe i should put up a poll too.

This party is gonna be so much fun. I can’t wait to see how everyone else dresses like!

Like i said before, this party is open to everyone. But you gotta follow the magic steps to get an invitation to the Music Bash.

Just write a blog post titled “I’m a musician celebrity thanks to Maxis Broadband” and submit the permalink along with your full name and IC number to musicbash2009@nuffnang.com. Be creative! Who knows you’ll get to win a prize for the most creative blog post ;)

There was a open launch for Queen magazine at the Sin Chew Daily building last Sunday. Queen is Taiwan-based, so three Taiwan experts were invited to give the audience a demonstration about skin care, make up, and fashion* respectively.

* I’m not too sure with this cause my mind drifted during the briefing.

I played doll for the Taiwanese make up artist, Kevin.

Imagine being watched by all theseee..

People and more.

And these people go crazy for them Taiwanese.

The pressure. I wasn’t quite used to it, but i had to adapt.

It wasn’t that bad. Though the only down side is that i was freezing on stage cause the air condition was directly at me. Dammit.

Good experience :)
