Clappity Sundays #33

So i went to Singapore during the eve of Labour’s Day with the family. Took an approximately five hour bus ride down to Singapore.
Five hours, wow.

Played PSP, listened to iPod, watched Over the Hedge and half of Bridget Jone’s Diary, and took a nap. Not bad, i would say. At least i wasn’t bored stiff :)
We were invited to stay at my sister’s humble condo. They have an Xbox 360 there too but i didn’t make much use of it though. Bleh.
We went for the Night Safari on our first day. I was pretty excited about it.

Turns out that i didn’t enjoy my tram ride that much.
Stupid kids on the same tram making a hell of a noise. I couldn’t even hear what the commentator was saying! Turning my head back to give a cock stare didn’t work. Even shushing them didn’t work. I really felt like reaching to the back to strangle them -_-
Saw buffaloes, bambi’s family, elephants.. you know the whole Madagascar thing. Minus the penguins. And lemurs.
I didn’t take pictures of the animals cause obviously flash photography isn’t allowed, so why bother. I took pictures of the surroundings instead. Well, actually photos of the washroom. Cause i thought that the design was quite cute.
More boring pictures after the jump.

Recently i’ve switched my skin care to Clinelle. I got the basic skin care products that are suitable for normal to oily skin types.
I have the very basic cleanser, toner, and moisturizer.

I have to admit that i kinda like Clinelle’s products.
I think that Clinelle’s deep cleansing gel is a little bit different. It has natural ingredients such as green tea leaf and ivy extracts. It just feels so natural.

The gel is slimy and gooey, but it feels really nice when it’s applied onto the face. The smell is not too strong and not too artificial either. Like i said, it feels very natural.
Next up is the purifying toner.
It feels like any other toner, but the scent is somehow different. When i used it for the first time, it reminded me of that expensive spa at KL my mum brought me to.
I had no idea why it reminded me about the spa then until i checked the ingredients of the toner. It contains ingredients such as tea tree oil, lavender essential oil, aloe vera, and Chamomilla Recutita extract.
No wonder!
The moisturizer is something i’d really like to rave about.
I had NEVER applied moisturizer during the day before going out because i’ve never found the right moisturizer that doesn’t make my skin feel oily.
The previous moisturizer that i was using is hell, that’s why i only apply it before going to bed. So that i don’t have to endure the eekyness on my skin. Yeah sure it’s moisturizing but i hate moisturizers that makes the skin feel oily -_-;;
And i swear, Clinelle’s Moisture Glow is my savior. Read on.
One day, i woke up in the morning and did my lady things as usual. But this time it was different, i applied my moisturizer before going out to run some errands.
I took this picture after i came home in the afternoon with natural lighting. With NO make up on.

One word.
Matte.
My skin was not oily at all. JIZZ!
After going here and there from morning till afternoon, still matte. I love this moisturizer. I do believe that it also depends on how much amount you apply. Not too little, not too much.
Clinelle’s SnoWhite Mask helps in brightening and hydrating the skin. I don’t see much use of that for me cause i’m already quite fair myself, but i still tried it out.
I like the fact that it’s cream based. I have a hard time dealing with masks that hardens and/or requires peeling. Imagine if you wanna laugh and you have a clay mask on. Everything is gonna crack for sure!
So this cream based mask is a lot better :)
On the other hand, i also like Clinelle for its packaging.
I do pay attention to what’s written at the back of my products. Descriptions, ingredients, and also directions.
.. Weird, i know. Read on.

I feel that many people don’t pay much detail when caring for their skin. Clinelle’s directions really remind people how to do so.
Like patting your face dry instead of just plain wiping. Or applying your skin care in gentle upward strokes.
If we really want to maintain good skin conditions in the long run, these small details count.
People who use cosmetics often should know the importance of proper skin care. Surely we don’t want pre-mature wrinkles, sagging, uneven skin tone and stuff like those. Personally i think it’s scary, that’s why i try my best to take care of my skin.
However that doesn’t mean those who don’t use make up don’t have to take care of their skin.
Everyone HAS to!
Not only females, but also males. It’s not gay at all, trust me. Chicks really dig guys who take care of their skin.
I strongly believe in the term “Beautiful make up starts with beautiful skin”.
And i also think that it’s a lot easier that way.
A very simple way of preparing for a day out.
1. Apply moisturizer and sun block
2. Apply some concealer if needed
3. Curl lashes before applying brown eyeliner
4. Mascara, take your time with this
5. Set your hair and put on a pair of nice earrings

And you’re done! :)
Clinelle also has other range of products available at any leading pharmacies. Price ranges from RM 16 to RM 70 in which i think is very reasonable. And restocking definitely won’t be a problem :)

According to my classmates, i was the lightest packer for our trip to Genting last month.
I recall that i woke up super early that day to do my lady things and prepare for the trip. We took a morning bus up to Genting from KL Sentral.

Super duper fly sunnies.
The trip was shorter than i expected. I played some Need for Speed and listened to my iPod a bit and we were at our drop off point already.
Then, we took the cable car up to Genting.
At this point, we were all excited bout getting to our destination. As we went further, it started getting cooler. Breezy!

Clockwise: Florence, Ruby, me, Roxanne, and Sook Sian
You have no idea how hard was it to get this shot. The cable car ride took a while but we were so busy taking pictures and all, the trip ended before we even realized it.
After checking in the hotel, we left our bags there and went to the theme park.
Read on to see more pictures :)

I died and reborn again on that thing
Went back to the hotel room by evening. I kinda like our suite. It was hugeee. Well of course, i was the one who booked it *cough*
Hehe.

I had lots of fun.
Too bad the Corkscrew was closed for maintainence though.
But i still had lots of fun :)
Oh did i mention that i got sunburn at Genting?! -_-

Wow, this post is way overdue.
I went for Jamiroquai’s concert at Sepang last month, which was April.
Had tickets to go see the F1 race but obviously, i’d rather not cause watching the race back home on a TV screen is way better and more comfortable.
Imagine being at the race circuit and the race cars just pass you by so quickly in a flash and that’s it. Bleh -_-
It would be nice to experience the race real life, but i’ll leave that to next time.

It rained on that day and the race was forced to end early. Not only that, it was still drizzling during the concert.
The whole place was muddy and wet. It was disgusting. Getting around was crazy, i had to hop around on wooden boards like a bunny to avoid the muddy puddles and grass.
Thank goodness i wore my ballerina Crocs too. They’re easy to wash cause they’re made from rubber. So i didn’t have to care much about getting mud on my Crocs.
However i was totally bummed when i accidently stepped on a seemingly safe patch of grass, which turned out to sink into one nasty puddle.

Great, i had mud water in my shoes.
But nevermind, they were easy to wash.

There were other performing acts by a couple of artists and one of them was Naturally Seven. I thought they were pretty good, though a little bit drag-ish. There was one point where i thought their performance was over, but no it still went on -_-;;
Eventually the drizzling stopped too. Just in time for Jamiroquai’s turn :)

Jamiroquai was amazing!
He has so much energy in that sweat suit he was wearing.
Honestly i’m not an avid fan of his, but a lot of his songs are really good. I really like the song Deeper Underground, he sang that for his encore.

Deeper Underground is one of the soundtracks for the movie Godzilla. Check out the video, it’s pretty cool.

So last night we all gathered at a place to give Elaine a surprise birthday party. It’s kinda like a collaboration of the high school friends and the college friends.
I was late but i managed to get in the “surprise room” in time before Elaine arrived at the house. Talk about kan cheong-ness.
The college friends gave her the first round of surprise outside the house which kinda reminded me of the Japanese ambush video i saw on Youtube once. Then, we the high school friends, gave her a second round of surprise in a room.
Random, right. But it all worked out. Poor girl was so surprised that she was all jumpy, hehe.

Happy birthday, Elaine.
Hope you like your presents! :)

It is tested and proven that i cannot stay home for the whole day. Right from the moment i wake up in the morning until the time i go to bed at night. I need to get out even for at least 10 minutes. Cause for some reasons if i don’t, i’ll get a nasty headache :(
So i did a little shopping alone after lunch last week. I hopped from Forever 21 to Roxy, and walked out from both stores holding paper bags.

I really need to get a shopping bag. Those paper bags are such a waste and a shopping bag would be much more convenient.
Anyway, that was the longest time i’ve spent in Roxy. Oh, and i got a Roxy card with a single receipt. Along with that i got a couple of Quiksliver & Roxy RM 50 gift vouchers.

I figured that i won’t be shopping much at Quiksilver or Roxy any time soon, so i’m just gonna give them away to any of my friends or readers.
I have three gift vouchers to give away. Here are some stuff you need to know about the vouchers first.
1. Redeemable with every RM200 purchases of regular priced items.
2. Valid till 30 June 2009.
3. Not valid with any marked down items, discounts and promotions.
4. Not valid with fragrance.
5. Not redeemable for cash.
6. In the event whereby amount purchased is less than amount on the voucher, there will be no refund.
7. Valid only in Quiksilver & Roxy in Malaysia.
Yeap, time is short. And it requires you to spend at least RM 200 to use one voucher.
If anyone is interested, just email me your details along with the answers to these questions:
1. What do you plan to buy from Quiksilver/Roxy?
2. How often do you visit this blog?
3. How did you come to know about this blog? (give direct referrers)
Wow, only three questions. So easy, right!
I’ll send out the gift vouchers via snail mail. Such a classic. If no one wants it then i’m gonna let the vouchers rot in the dustbin.
Oh and i’m serious.
