Clinelle
May 25th, 2009
Recently i’ve switched my skin care to Clinelle. I got the basic skin care products that are suitable for normal to oily skin types.
I have the very basic cleanser, toner, and moisturizer.

I have to admit that i kinda like Clinelle’s products.
I think that Clinelle’s deep cleansing gel is a little bit different. It has natural ingredients such as green tea leaf and ivy extracts. It just feels so natural.

The gel is slimy and gooey, but it feels really nice when it’s applied onto the face. The smell is not too strong and not too artificial either. Like i said, it feels very natural.
Next up is the purifying toner.
It feels like any other toner, but the scent is somehow different. When i used it for the first time, it reminded me of that expensive spa at KL my mum brought me to.
I had no idea why it reminded me about the spa then until i checked the ingredients of the toner. It contains ingredients such as tea tree oil, lavender essential oil, aloe vera, and Chamomilla Recutita extract.
No wonder!
The moisturizer is something i’d really like to rave about.
I had NEVER applied moisturizer during the day before going out because i’ve never found the right moisturizer that doesn’t make my skin feel oily.
The previous moisturizer that i was using is hell, that’s why i only apply it before going to bed. So that i don’t have to endure the eekyness on my skin. Yeah sure it’s moisturizing but i hate moisturizers that makes the skin feel oily -_-;;
And i swear, Clinelle’s Moisture Glow is my savior. Read on.
One day, i woke up in the morning and did my lady things as usual. But this time it was different, i applied my moisturizer before going out to run some errands.
I took this picture after i came home in the afternoon with natural lighting. With NO make up on.

One word.
Matte.
My skin was not oily at all. JIZZ!
After going here and there from morning till afternoon, still matte. I love this moisturizer. I do believe that it also depends on how much amount you apply. Not too little, not too much.
Clinelle’s SnoWhite Mask helps in brightening and hydrating the skin. I don’t see much use of that for me cause i’m already quite fair myself, but i still tried it out.
I like the fact that it’s cream based. I have a hard time dealing with masks that hardens and/or requires peeling. Imagine if you wanna laugh and you have a clay mask on. Everything is gonna crack for sure!
So this cream based mask is a lot better :)
On the other hand, i also like Clinelle for its packaging.
I do pay attention to what’s written at the back of my products. Descriptions, ingredients, and also directions.
.. Weird, i know. Read on.

I feel that many people don’t pay much detail when caring for their skin. Clinelle’s directions really remind people how to do so.
Like patting your face dry instead of just plain wiping. Or applying your skin care in gentle upward strokes.
If we really want to maintain good skin conditions in the long run, these small details count.
People who use cosmetics often should know the importance of proper skin care. Surely we don’t want pre-mature wrinkles, sagging, uneven skin tone and stuff like those. Personally i think it’s scary, that’s why i try my best to take care of my skin.
However that doesn’t mean those who don’t use make up don’t have to take care of their skin.
Everyone HAS to!
Not only females, but also males. It’s not gay at all, trust me. Chicks really dig guys who take care of their skin.
I strongly believe in the term “Beautiful make up starts with beautiful skin”.
And i also think that it’s a lot easier that way.
A very simple way of preparing for a day out.
1. Apply moisturizer and sun block
2. Apply some concealer if needed
3. Curl lashes before applying brown eyeliner
4. Mascara, take your time with this
5. Set your hair and put on a pair of nice earrings

And you’re done! :)
Clinelle also has other range of products available at any leading pharmacies. Price ranges from RM 16 to RM 70 in which i think is very reasonable. And restocking definitely won’t be a problem :)

hey jamie.just want to ask whether your skin is sensitive or not.and is your skin oily or dry?thanks alot.
18. Jamie | May 29th, 2009 at 2:29 am
Steph,
Sticker. But it ain’t good for the skin in the long run though - causes sagging. And there isn’t any other method that prevents it.
Mandy,
It’s sensitive. Gets dry at certain areas, oily at T-zone :)
19. Mandy Ng | May 29th, 2009 at 9:25 am
haha.my skin is the same with you,I think I’m gonna change my skincare product ady.*winks* anyway thanks jamie!
20. steph | May 29th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
hmm but i thought they said if you put the double eyelid for long, like everyday put for few years, you’re gonna get double eyelid?
21. Kye Lin | May 30th, 2009 at 1:58 am
Hi,Jamie!I don’t know if you still remember me?
Can I ask you something?I have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. But the problem is on my nose there’s plenty of black/white heads especially at the sides of my nose.I have tried the biore nose pack but its not really effective and i have tried St.Ives apricot scrub too.
Can you recommend any other products to me to combat this problem?
and do you know any good concealers to conceal dark circles effectively?
Please & Thank you!^_^
22. Kye Lin | May 30th, 2009 at 2:02 am
P.S:I have used the Clinelle trial pack before and yes,the moisturizer is really nice to use!XD
23. Jann | May 30th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
Hey jamie, i always thought u had double eyelids lol. They look so natural =).
Was just wondering if u can show us how to use the eyelid sticker?
And how to put make up on it?
Thx <3

26. miss.T | June 1st, 2009 at 4:21 pm
hey Jamie,I’m juz like d rest totally envy ur porcelain skin.U doesn’t seems to have dark circles huh?Btw appreciate if u can post up a turotial on how u did ur make ups coz its so natural.and oso d prods that u r using.Which curler u r using to curls ur hair?maybe u can do a post on tat too.. =)
27. Jamie | June 2nd, 2009 at 12:13 am
@ Steph
Yeap that’s true. I’ve heard from friends before and it’s tested and proven :)
@ Kye Lin
Yes of course i remember you :D
Well i have a similar condition as yours also. What i do is i do the scrub on a regular basis, say twice a week or so. Can’t do too many cause it dries the skin. Get a suitable toner to minimize the pores :)
And as for concealer, i’m using M.A.C’s moisture concealer. It smells a bit funky but it’s alright. I guess it’s all about blending and colour :S
@ Jann
I do but they’re very deep set. Well i’ll see what i can do about your request k :)
@ Chloe
I’ll try to look for a suitable tutorial on Youtube k. I’m shy bout making video tutorials, hehe :)
@ fussy
From any leading pharmacies :)
@ miss.T
Oh i do have dark circles!
I’ll write a post soon bout the products i used k. And about my curler, i’m using BaByliss. Got it from Sungai Wang for like RM 120 i think. Mine’s the 32 mm
28. emily | June 5th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
hey jamie,
dont mind me asking. what do you do to your underarms? do you shave, wax or what? mine tend to have like a dark layer and sometimes some red spots. you may not know as you are not a skin therapy, but just thought you may somehow know. thanks.
29. Jamie | June 6th, 2009 at 3:51 am
I pluck. Though it’s not good cause it causes sagging of the skin and probably in-grown gair (gross!). Waxing would be good, i guess. Dark spots are caused by shaving. Not sure bout the red spots though :S
30. Evelyn | June 7th, 2009 at 8:44 pm

34. wendy | June 28th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
hi Jamie, I have fair skin too. I have some freckles, just thinking how to remove it. i don’t use any sun-block because I’ll always have pimples after using it.You have any great ideas?
How is your skin after using Clinelle for a while now?
35. Jamie | June 28th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Hmm i’m not so sure bout freckles cause they’re different from acne. They’re just like spots on the face, right.
I’m sorry but i don’t have a way around it but you can look it up the internet or something yeah.
Clinelle is alright, very mild for the skin. It’s like the basic facial wash :)
36. Abby | July 27th, 2009 at 8:07 am
