The blogger is sick. I repeat, the blogger is sick.

I wish i could come up with something better with pictures and all, but i’m not at the right state of mind right now. I just thought that i should write something quick to fill this place up a bit. I got so much to write about - Bangkok, some bazaar i went, Henessy Artistry..

But i guess i could write about now is about how sick i am. I’ve been sick since Monday and i haven’t got any proper rest since. I’ve been having difficulties with breathing and coughing until my stomach hurts. How sickening. Decided to turn in to the doc’s this morning. I had to wait about two hours for 30 minutes of evaluation, ugh.

And now my routine would be eat food and meds, watch Desperate Housewives, sleep and repeat. Bleh..

I’m missing out on so much. And it sucks.

Picture perfect

myz_photo_david_cheong

I was absolutely blown away by this picture of David and Jen taken by Nigel. Every little detail is just so pretty. They recently joined a couple photo contest and they submitted this in. I honestly feel that this picture deserves to be top rated picture, considering the fact that i’ve looked through some of the top rated pictures. The rest were just.. well, they don’t really stand out compared to this one.

So be nice and spread the love by voting for them here. It’s really easy, no registration or whatever required.

DiGi Campus roadshow

dsc03961

A couple of weeks ago i checked out the DiGi Campus roadshow at Asia Cafe. It seemed pretty simple from the outside, but it actually had more to offer despite its looks.

The first thing i noticed there was the table with two laptops on it.

dsc03954

I used one of them to show the DiGi promoters my blog. Then i thought, how convenient it would be to have free surfing with DiGi Campus. 3G services really cost a bomb and what the DiGi Campus package has to offer is really a good deal.

I can imagine surfing YouTube, checking emails and Twitter, and approving blog comments without having to worry bout my credit. It’s so much less stressful that way. Spoken from experience, yeap.

Oh, the promoters were such nice people, really. I’m surprised that they took interest in my blog. Real friendly. They were even willing to pose for the camera.

dsc03963

The next thing i noticed was the heap of boxes piled up at the DiGi Campus booth. They pretty much reminded me of pizza boxes.

I asked the promoter what were they and he said that they were free gifts for those who signed up for DiGi Campus. He was even nice enough to show me what’s inside the pizza box!

dsc03962

Inside the pizza box there were cute stickers, a couple of Nescafe freebies, and most of all, vouchers worth up to RM 200!

One voucher that caught my eye was the voucher for free cosmetic products from Clinique!

Jizz much.

Got my new pencil case from the airport on the day we left Bangkok. Le Sportsac was on sale, so i just had to. This was meant to be a cosmetic case but the first thing i thought when i saw it was, “My calculator would fit into this just fine!! And think of the amount of stationery i can put inside!”.

Mmmpf. As long as it’s pretty. Look at the little hearts!

I love that airport. They have so many things to see. Uh huh.

So i’m almost set for classes to begin. Gotta admit that i’m quite reluctant to go back. I’m so used to bumming around, as though i’m living a rich tai tai’s life (and i kinda enjoy it, mind you)

But then again, i guess i’m pretty excited bout uni too. New subjects and probably new faces. Oh, and new stationery hmm..

My cola fragrance eraser from Daiso.

Sneak trip

From what it seemed like a five days stay at Singapore, three days were actually spent at..

dsc09783

Bangkok!

Oh the love!

Dad if you’re reading this, please don’t freak out. Oh, and please don’t tell mum. Seriously.

Knowing that my parents wouldn’t fancy the idea of us traveling to the overseas with the whole swine flu thing going on, my sister and i secretly planned a trip to Bangkok without my parents knowing.

Genius much.

They didn’t have a clue. Until now.

Well i can’t hide forever now, can i? -_-

I had a conversation with my dad a couple of days before i left for Singapore that went like this.

Dad: So what are you gonna do at Singapore while jiejie is at work?
Me: Uhm.. watch TV? *shifty eyes*

Pass. Haha!

And so the adventure begins..

I took a bus down to Singapore to meet up with my sister on a Wednesday. Snoozed all the way, mm.

It was already night fall by the time i arrived Singapore. Just in time for dinner. So i had my dinner at my sister’s humble condo, while watching Michael Jackson’s tribute on telly.

We flew off to Bangkok on the following morning at 6 a.m. and arrived about 10 a.m (their time)

We were greeted with this massive queue for passport check at the airport.

dsc03975

Why is there so many people goin to Bangkok during this time of the year, huh?!

Anyway, the first thing we did after catching a cab from the airport was head to our hotel and checked in. Settled down for a bit then we headed to Platinum to start shopping!

I wore flip flops for long hours of walking.

And i think i need to get a new one already.

But i’ll admit that i’m not a shopping android. We took a break for lunch at the food court.

Beef noodles!

dsc03984

A bowl of sugar, chilli flakes, and two other stuff that i’m not familiar with.

So what do i do?

“When in Rome, do as the Roman do”

I observed what the locals did, and i followed. A teaspoon of sugar, a dash of chilli flakes, and another teaspoon of whatever that is in that last bowl. Must be some sour stuff.

dsc03988

Jizz!

And then shop some more until the sun goes down! RAWR!

No time for pictures, more serious shopping.

So what’s for dinner?

04

I woke up at 5.30 a.m today for one reason.

To attend the Estee Lauder staff sale at Renaissance Hotel, KL.

I was told about this sale by a friend and only one word caught my attention. One brand out of the other brands such as Estee Lauder, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Clinique, Bobbi Brown and etc, only one caught my attention. M.A.C.

I was sold.

Again.

Much thanks to my friend Janson, he got me passes for this sale :)

I was suppose to tag along with Kel Li and Jen but they planned to arrive at Renaissance Hotel by 5.30 a.m sharp. I thought that the idea was little too extreme for me so i decided to get myself there at 7 a.m or so, since it was printed on the ticket that the sale starts at 8 a.m until 3 p.m while stocks lasts.

Now when they said 8 a.m, they actually meant 7 a.m.

By 5.30 a.m, Renaissance was already buzzing with people queuing up. When Kel Li texted me about the situation, i got right up and started getting ready to head down to KL.

I arrived there at 6.15 a.m and the sky was still dark. Security there was strict, they didn’t allow anyone to jump queue. They even recognized faces, so tough luck jumping queues.

I managed to slot myself somewhere in front of the queue though, lucky me. And i met up with Kel Li and Jen inside the ballroom when the doors opened at 7.

I was hoping that i could snag some liquid foundation and pressed powder from M.A.C, but they only had products from the previous collections for sale.

So i got myself some eyeshadow, beauty powders, lip glosses, and nail lacquers.

There was no need to get rough over things cause we were the first batch to enter the ballroom. We only had to worm our way through the crowd.

Wish i could take a picture of the place but i didn’t bother bringing my camera. They don’t allow hand bags and such, so i only brought my wristlet.

Ahhh meet my new babies.

dsc041901

It was quite a good deal actually. Two Dazzleglass lip glosses selling for a price of less than one. They were all pre-packed so we can’t really pick what comes along with what.

Nonetheless, i’m still happy with my purchase.

Now it’s time for a rest..

Kiehl’s: Rare Earth

kiehls-rare-earth

New stuff from the Kiehl’s website.

The Rare Earth series is specially for minimalizing pores. Just what i need. I’m getting real tired of clogged pores, hmpf.

I checked the Kiehl’s store at Mid Valley and they don’t have this series yet. They only have the Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque. I can’t wait for the rest to hit the stores so that i can try them out.

I did a little price survey too to prep myself. One cleanser is about RM 80+ and the other products are somewhat around that range. More or less *gulp*

Investment for better skin, i say. So yeap..
