Day two at Bangkok
Surprisingly we didn’t shop much on our first day at Bangkok. I kept thinking that once we’ve dropped our luggage off at the hotel, we’ll unleash the shopaholic within and shop till we drop. Instead, we did more of window shopping on our first day.
We had to digest the change of fashion in the mall. Not to mention that nothing really hit the “OMG THIS IS GORGEOUSSS” button. Meh.
Fortunately, the second day was more favourable. We took a tut-tut to MBK mall and back tracked to Platinum from there, dropping by any other malls along the way.

Pink cabs, hott!

To keep the viruses and city dust away *ding!*
I was quite surprised to see that a number of the locals were wearing flu masks. Very cautious people, mm hmm..
Anyway, we shopped from morning till late afternoon. Walked quite a distance and carried some load too, what a good work out! We both agreed to call it a day and bought a couple of snacks to bring back to the hotel to nom.

Phew!
I kinda like our location.
There’s a market behind the hotel where we can get really cheap deals for decent clothes. Like real cheap, cheaper than the wholesale mall kind of cheap. Every morning, we would walk pass that market and out to the street where there will be food stalls selling all kinds of local food that’s suited for breakfast. Tea, pancakes, and such.
Then, we would make our way to the main road where we will use the overhead bridge that connects straight to Platinum mall.
All in 5 minutes! (or maybe more if you’re a slow walker)
During the afternoon, there will be different food stalls set up. One of them was this stall.

You can figure from the pictures. Instant tom yum noodles with whatever stuff of your choice! I had mine with prawns and sausages, mm! Simple yet so delicious. I’m missing it already!
We also bought fish! We were so hooked on fish since the dinner we had the night before. Mmm om nom nom!

Not what i expected but it works
Phresh! Again, skip the fish skin cause it’s salted and all. I also bought shaved ice, perfect after a long day out and along with the tom yum noodles.
It’s looove.
