Kiehl’s: Lip Balm #1

dsc04368

I’ve been making a couple of trips to the Kiehl’s store recently to get a couple of stuff. One of them is Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1, since my old one ran out. I was reluctant to get a lip balm in tube form at first cause it’s quite troublesome, but since the sales person had such good marketing skills and credibility, i thought ah why not. It’s Kiehl’s!

So what’s the verdict?

Yeah, the whole idea bout the tube lip balm is annoying as hell. Just as i thought. All the hassle of squeezing it out onto my finger and applying it on my lips. Then i would have to wash my hands or spare a tissue to wipe my finger (cause wiping on my baju is gross).

Well with that factor aside, i actually like this lip balm. It’s pretty much like petroleum jelly in a tube with probably some extra fancy ingredients along. The outcome is not exactly wow, but at least it prevents my lips from looking too dry. And it’s rather long lasting as long as you eat it off. Get what i mean?

It has the gloss factor, so it gives the lips some shine. Gotta be careful bout the application though since it’s glossy looking, you wouldn’t wanna look like you drooled all over yourself. It’s pretty handy if you have naturally pink/red lips, don’t need the use for lip gloss – just apply this for that pretty shine on the lips. Most lip glosses are annoying cause they’re sticky and heavy.

However, if you want some colour you can always opt for their tinted lip balm.

Overall, i don’t think it’s anything special. Like i said, it’s pretty much like petroleum jelly in a tube. Oh wait, it is. I totally forgot the price, but it’s less than RM 20 for this tube. Don’t bother unless you wanna give it a try. Or really gungho bout Kiehl’s, like me here. Well.. sort of -_-;;

Twin swallow birds

dsc043662

I always had this thing for swallow birds. And i finally got a pair of swallow studs from Cotton On. All that’s left now is a swallow necklace :)

I kinda like Cotton On. They have really cute ballet flats there for RM 45. Two pairs for RM 60! I was at Pavilion for two days in a row. I didn’t get anything from the shop on the first day, but i sure couldn’t get my mind off those ballet flats! Coincidently, i went back to Pavilion the next day. I just had to go back to Cotton On!

I took my own sweet time picking out the shoes i want. They have quite a variety of materials and patterns. When i finally decided which pairs i want, i proceeded to the cashier. The lady behind the counter seemed to be taking her own sweet time too. So i dug around the accessories they had there and found myself a pair of swallow studs!

Will definitely go back there soon. I’m starting to like Cotton On even more now.

p/s: It’s located next to Forever 21 at Pavilion.
