The Body Shop: Aloe Lip Treatment

October 26th, 2009

I’m just gonna do a quick write up while getting my notes printed from the Curtin blackboard. Today i can officially chuck my Kiehl’s lip balm aside. It didn’t last the way i thought it would.

The lip balm was supposed to be gel-like. However after a couple of weeks, it kinda melted and turned gooey. I’m clueless bout how it turned out this way cause i’m very sure that i didn’t leave it lying under direct heat, or leave in my car on a hot afternoon, or whatever.

Anyway i know it’s my fault some way or another. I tried putting it in the fridge to cool it down (don’t judge me) but it didn’t work either. The lip balm was still gooey and oily, it was just gross.

But somehow i managed to squeeze out every last bit of it cause i didn’t want to waste it. Fortunately, some of it was still gel-like inside. I just had to wipe away the gooey ones with a tissue. Meh.

So today, i finally got a new one from Body Shop. I decided to give this one a try, since the cocoa butter one smelled funny and i’m lazy to use the Born Lippy one.

It’s aloe lip treatment for sensitive skin. RM 32. Soothing, repairing, and protecting balm for easily irritated lips. I was hesitant to get another tube lip balm at first, but i noticed something different about this one when i observed the tester.

The tip of the tube is slanted, like the shape of a lip stick. This means that i can easily apply this on my lips without having to use my finger! SOLD!

It’s alright so far. It has some kind of sweet scent, which i’m guessing it’s aloe. Though i’m not too sure what real aloe smells like. And it has that glossy finish, which i grew to like.

Let’s see how this one goes.. in the long run.

Hm, RM32 is a tad too pricey. Have you tried Majolica Majorca ?
