Mini me?

Thanks for the mini Takos, Kel Li :)
Any red octopus this girl sees reminds her of me. How like that?

Aha, i knew that i would finally have to settle down and give some loving to my blog again.
Recently i’ve been spending a lot of time at my secret retreat, where all i do is eat, watch TV, sleep and only waking up to eat again. I can’t seem to be getting enough of Family Guy and Gossip Girl hmm..
Anyway, i finally got around to editing the pictures from ZoukOut 2009. So here goes!

We left the hotel around 12 a.m and got ourselves a cab to head down to the beach. However, the cab driver didn’t want to send us in to Sentosa Island so we had to take the sky train from Vivo City instead.. which wasn’t bad at all.
I was skeptical at first about whether the sky train was still open for service, but surprisingly there were a lot of other people who were doing the same to get to ZoukOut. Phew!
I got to see a lot of excited people. And fortunately they didn’t get too serious bout pushing to get into the train, unlike the people here..
When we got to the Beach Station, we bumped into a couple of friends and joined them to head down to the main party together. There were a lot of alcoholic picnics on the sidewalks on the way down to the beach too.

So here comes the checkpoint. The king had a VIP ticket so unfortunately he had to leave me alone for a while when they shoo-ed him to the other lane to get his passes.
This is where i encountered the cheesiest and rudest pick up, ever. A guy who was wearing a beret and jeans (at a rave, wtf) came up to me and said
Him: Hi~
Me: Hi..
Him: What are you doing here? You look kinda cuteee~
Me: Oh i’m actually waiting for my boyfriend *shifty eyes*
Him: What! You don’t need one! You can get anotherrr~
Me: *super effort fake laugh* Right.. i don’t think so..
At this point he starts asking more bout me and tells me a little more bout himself. I got even more nervous cause i kept worrying bout what’s taking king so long to come get me. So i started sweating. Gross, right. So i fanned myself.
Him: Why are you doing this for? *fanning motion* Like you ate something spicy~
Me: Uh no actually i’m just hot..
Him: Oh i know you’re hot..
Me: I meant i’m feeling hot
Him: Oh is it cause i’m around?!
Me: *super effort fake laugh while rolling eyes then looking away* -_-
And this is when king comes to rescue me! *clapclap*
Introduced the both of them and the douchebag then patted my shoulder while saying “Have fun!” and ran off.
Come to think of it, i don’t even know why i have tolerance for such people. And for the record, he was Chinese and he had this accent and he was acting all hiao hence the ~~ and grossness -_-
So anyway, after that i finally got to set foot in the sands!

Couldn’t stop curling my toes into the sand *curlcurl*

Hero! :)

Everywhere i went, whenever we made a stop, i would take off my flip flops and bury my feet under the sand. It felt really nice and cooling. And how often do i go to beaches anyway!
The music was alright, though i didn’t really layan much. Probably it was the lack of intoxication. It was a pleasure to see many different people around though.
Around close to 2 a.m, we decided to head to the carpark to have a little boot party. Boot as in car boot.

Got a little something to drink (vodkaaa) and some air-conditioning. Phew!
We went back to the main area an hour later and i managed to snag a glow-in-the-dark lollipop from Ming. Ohhh and we got glow sticks!

Lasers! *pewpewpew*

3.50 a.m. Showing symptoms of fatigue

5.30 a.m. Officially tired until cannot layan camera anymore
So it was back to the hotel for me.
I didn’t really layan much at ZoukOut. Honestly, i wasn’t even paying attention to the music. We were going from arena to arena, i don’t even know which is playing what. Clueless.. and very much intoxicated.
I think i missed the point.. but i had loads of fun with the company i had. It was quite an experience in a way. Again this year? :)

So i started my new year’s eve day by having lunch with Kel Li and Nigel at Chilli’s, Mid Valley. I also spent the afternoon making arrangements for mummy’s birthday. Flowers, gifts, and cake.. stuff like those.

Pepsi’s birthday falls exactly on new year’s eve and usually we would all go out for a nice dinner. However she wasn’t feeling so well that day, so we all stayed in for dinner instead.
It was quite a relief for me too because that way we all won’t be so stressed out on where to eat, what time to eat, the traffic, and all that jazz.
I thought that it would give me more time to doll up and stuff before going out, but obviously i was still late. Time management fail.
Getting to KL wasn’t that bad, however navigating around KL was a challenge cause a lot of roads were blocked. We were like white mice trying to figure a way out from a lab maze.

Nonetheless, we managed to arrive at KL Life Center around 11. When we got there, Lapsap was already rocking the place. I was really amazed by the turn out.
The king and i hung around with VJ Callen a.k.a Uncle for a bit until the rest came. That spot had an awesome view of the stage and the crowd.

Drinks were super expensive over there, like RM 15 for a can of Heineken. I almost puked blood. RM 15, ptui! But at least it’s Heineken, hmpf.
Blink was super hyper on the set. He did some funny dance and honestly i never saw him that excited before. And it hypes up the crowd even more.

The highlight of new year’s eve is always the countdown. Yay for confetti! Oh and fireworks.. which we didn’t get to see, unfortunately.
We rushed out from KL Life Center shortly after the countdown, hoping to catch some fireworks. We also ran quite a distance to get a view of KLCC. We could hear the fireworks, but couldn’t see them. Oh well..
I took a picture anyway to make our run worth something.

Here’s a jagung.
Now i can’t remember when did the Bloody Beetroots make their appearance. Was it right after the countdown or after we came back from the outside, hmm..
ANYWAY!
The Bloody Beetroots had an amazing start. They began their set with the ever so popular track, Warp. How to not go wild?

I remember a rather funny conversation i had with Blink when we went to say hi to the Lapsaps.
Me: So did you get to meet the Bloody Beetroots just now backstage?
Blink: Yeah!
Me: With or without the masks?
Blink: Without
Me: Handsome not?
Blink: Errr..! *shakes head*

Well i guess that explains the masks. Though i do find the whole dark Spiderman mask thing kinda hot and mysterious.. Okayyy stop it.
Here’s to a better new year. Welcome, 2010! :)
