Skin79: Hot Pink BB Cream
It’s review time!
Blemish Balm creams are getting more and more popular these days. They say that BB cream is like a foundation that comes with skin care. BB creams also come with various functions like whitening, anti-wrinkle, UV protection, and even healing blemish scars.
BB creams have been around for quite some time now but i didn’t really give thought bout BB creams until recently. I don’t know what made me want to try it.
Maybe it was the overwhelming sales and reviews in the forum. Girls were just dying to get their hands on one. There were all kinds of brands, but the most popular one in the forum was Skin79.
I’ve read reviews and watched videos. I even asked BB cream users on Twitter for their opinion. They were all positive reviews. Also, i recently found out that Jolin Tsai was the brand ambassador.

Where have i been? -_-
Anyway, there are some things that you just gotta try for yourself.
So after months of procrastinating research, i finally decided to buy Skin79′s Super+ BB cream; better known as the Hot Pink. I bought it from Tiffany for RM 65. She’s a Hot Pink user herself too :)
Note: I also found out that there were Skin79 products for sale at the Beauty Expo held at KLCC a couple weeks back for RM 59.

The BB cream comes in one shade only. But fret not, one shade suits all. It’s not as heavy as foundation, and it’s not super sheer either.
Apparently, the BB cream will oxidize to suit your skin tone. However, you still gotta be careful to not apply too much BB cream on your face or you’ll end up looking white!
So here’s me naked face. No photoshop nonsense.

Before
If you look closely, you can see that my complexion is rather blotchy and red around my cheeks and nose. The sides of my cheeks are also veiny because my skin is thin and sensitive.
I have the usual dark circles and uneven skin tone around my eye area. And a blemish spot at the side of my nose. So my face ain’t that flawless after all :(
Now i remember what made me buy the BB cream -_-;;
I was having breakouts and the blemishes left spots on my face. I wanted something that’s light, and will even out my skin tone and cover up my veiny cheeks while recovering my blemish spots.
Put all of those together = BB cream.

After
My face was evened out and the redness was covered up. I wouldn’t say that the veins on my cheeks were super covered up like 100% airbrushed and all, but the BB cream did help cover up like 50% or so.
My blemish spot and dark circles were covered about 60% or so, that’s what i think. I could just leave the house just like that, but i added a little concealer just for the sake of it.
The BB cream gave my skin a rather dewy finish, which i kinda liked. The oil control is alright, nothing much on that. Well, i wouldn’t say i’ll use it for a clubbing night out though, cause i would want fuller coverage which i can get from my foundation.

Complete with light eye make up. My usual look during the day and sometimes nights
Overall, i like the product. It smells nice and feels light. I use it every now and then when i go out. So far it didn’t give me any crazy breakouts, so it’s all good.
Do leave a comment to tell me what you think. I’ll love you like a kitten :)
