I just did my nails so i figured i’d blog about something while waiting for them to dry :D

So anyway, a month ago we made a trip down to KL on a weekday to check out the launch of the Chevrolet Cruze; a car that he has taken interest on.

The launch was held at KLCC some time after lunch. Though it was after lunch time on a weekday, the parking at KLCC was mad!  It took us quite a while to find one. I guess KLCC is always crowded with people -_-;;

We made our way to the convention center and found ourselves at a fancy ballroom area. There were also lots of people in black suits.

I instantly felt like i shrank ten times. I was dressed very casually in baby tee and jeans, and everyone around me was like dressed for an occasion!

It was free seating and ironically i was sitting beside a datin-looking lady, dressed in a fancy kebaya and shawl. We were seated so close to each other that i couldn’t stop overhearing her conversations about her being here to give support to dunno who who. Must be someone important.

*facepalm*

Anyway, we waited.. and waited. Wondering why the launch is taking so long. Then comes the big hoo-haa.

The prime minister arrived. Along with live video feed of the prime mister entering the hall.. with red carpets.

Then came speeches from various important people and all that jazz. All these formalities reminded me of school; every assembly has loadsss of boring speeches.

After the speeches ended, we thought it was time on unveil the Cruze. But then more fancy stuff happened.

And how it also WOWed other parts of the world

And that was it!

It was nothing much, really. But at least now we know what a car launch is like! :D

The Cruze is a pretty decent car; classy looking and all. The back of the car looks a lot like a Honda Civic. But it’s an award-winning car so i guess it’s alright :p

Who would have thought a car launch would be dragged until 5-ish. Literally took up the whole afternoon!
