SaSa Colors & Fragrance Fair 2010
In conjunction of SaSa’s upcoming Colors & Fragrance Fair 2010, i was invited by SaSa for a little makeup session. So last Thursday, i headed over to Empire Subang to see what’s in stored for me.
Thursday is known as war day for me. I have classes and lectures packed from 8.30am till 6pm, with only 30 minutes break. It’s crazy i tell you. But some classes often end early so i suppose it’s not as harsh as it sounds.

Driving around 6pm is not a very good idea. Traffic is crazy everywhere. But i still managed to arrive at Empire but slightly late around 6.15pm.
Btw, i’ve always wondered what’s the difference between Selecti’ve SaSa and the normal SaSa store. Well, they have makeup counters for customers to have their makeovers and a skin consultation room at the back of the store. Jingi if you’re reading this, now we know!!
Okay so when i arrived at Selecti’ve SaSa, i got my face cleaned and base applied by Mae, one of the makeup artist there. Then i had the rest of the look done by makeup artist, Jil Yong.

There’s three different looks for this year’s Fragrance Fair; Confident, Happiness, and Rock. These looks represent the perfumes selected by SaSa.
My look was Happiness. It’s a really simple look that consists of bright colours and it emphasizes on glowy skin. Jil had my face highlighted by using white eyeshadow and it really brings out the features and adds glow to the skin.
The makeup process didn’t take long either because it was that simple!

After my makeup was done, i had a little photo session with the selected fragrance for my look. This is just a candid from my camera, but the real thing is with SaSa’s photographer.
Be sure to monitor their blog for updates if you wanna see more pictures and also pictures of the other models for the other looks.
When i was done, i rushed back home in hopes to beat the traffic. So here’s a better look of my makeup that day.

It’s nothing too heavy. But you gotta admit my face looks bright, it’s all cause of the highlighting that Jil did!
SaSa was also very generous to provide us with a goodie bag of products that were used for our looks. I’m looking forward to try the Cyber Colors Botanical Smoothing Hydro-base.

Well with all that being said, here comes the good news. I’d like to inform you guys that everyone can experience all of the above!
Currently SaSa is having their Colors & Fragrance Fair 2010 at North Court Mid Valley from 30th August until 5th September.
There are goodies for you to take home for every fragrance you purchase at SaSa. Stuff like Cyber Colors Gemstone Powerful Two-Way Cake and even rebate vouchers. Terms and conditions apply, of course.
Plus for every RM 180 spent on any fragrance at SaSa, you will receive a SaSa cosmetic pouch for free!
I would also like to point out that for every nominated fragrances sold, RM 1 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA) so you’re shopping for a good cause too :)

Besides that, there will be makeovers based on the three looks that SaSa has come up with for everyone too. All you gotta do is purchase a makeover voucher of RM 10, 20, or 30. Also if you go during the weekend, there will be a photoshoot booth for you to have your picture taken for just another RM 10. You’ll get an A4 size photo of you and you’ll get to take it home!
Once again, this will be donated for charity.
You can also purchase the makeup set used for your makeover from the with 35% off for just RM 168 and it comes with a free makeup brush set. Oh and this is only applicable if you purchase it at the roadshow.
If you’d like to know more and keep up to date, you can always check out their Facebook and Twitter :)
LuxOnU

Last Saturday i had a fine opportunity to attend a pre-opening gathering of a very special boutique. It was quite unexpected because i only received the invitation from April on midnight the day before as i was MIA the whole day.
LuxOnU is a parallel importer of luxury products established in Malaysia since 2009. Founded in Zurich, LuxOnU has also been in other countries such as Singapore and Shanghai.
All products that are brought in by LuxOnU are genuine and are imported from USA and Europe. Some of the brands they bring in are like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, LongChamp, Coach, and Prada to name a few.
The products varies from handbags to purses to shoes and to perfume. To sum it up, anything luxurious!
The best part of it all is that LuxOnU offers these products at a more affordable price compared to retail stores! LuxOnU even hosts handbag parties and events that are open to public and the products are sold with up to 60% discounts!!
When i heard about what LuxOnU is doing, i knew i had to go see it for myself.
So on that Saturday, i arrived at LuxOnU around 7pm just in time for registration.

LuxOnU is a pretty neat place. Although it’s not very big, it’s rather spacious as the place was not cluttered with bags.
It’s nice to have a close view on the bags and even get to touch them without the hassle of asking for assistance like how you would at a retail store. No one giving you disapproving looks and all, you know what i mean.
There were brands like Coach, LongChamp, Gucci, Bally and Dior; though they had more of Coach and LongChamp. However, the number of bags displayed here are probably not even half of the number they have during LuxOnU’s open events.

All the items are in mint condition and they still have their tags on them. Although i personally think that the price difference is not jaw-dropping-ly different, i still think that the prices offered by LuxOnU is still good.
RM 240 for that pretty white Coach wristlet, i could have bought it on the spot if i wanted to.
Besides bags and stuff, there’s a little cafe at the back of LuxOnU that sells pastries and cakes. Sweet Indulgence is a humble family business in designer cakes and cupcakes.
As we were mingling among each other and taking photos of the boutique, LuxOnU kindly served sushi for the guests to nibble on.
Later after that, we received a warm welcome from Marcus of LuxOnU followed by pastries from Sweet Indulgence.

That’s Marcus and the Sweet Indulgence cafe at the back

Omg the moist chocolate cake is TO DIE FOR! It’s one of the best chocolate cakes i’ve tasted. Everyone agreed that the cake was so guut. It’s the kind of chocolate cake that doesn’t make you feel yuck after eating too much.
One bite of it and it was literally Jizz In My Pants. It deserves an anime reaction, but since i was in public i had to refrain from doing so. Must maintain style!
I don’t know what others may think about it, they might have tasted other bombastic cakes. But i for one don’t get to eat a lot cakes very often and my taste is not very fussy, so this cake was mmmm.. boomz.
Thinking about it while typing this makes me want a moist chocolate cake from Sweet Indulgence already! If there’s a time i’m feeling down, this cake is definitely the ultimate comfort food for me *ahem* I just gave you a big hint :p
We then had a wine tasting session. It was my first wine tasting session and i found out that this kinda thing is deeper than it seems.
I’m not a big fan of wine, therefore i don’t really know how to appreciate it. As a person that doesn’t know much about wine, i thought that the session was pretty long. But of course, i still listened.
We were taught many things from how to hold the wine glass, to analyzing the smell and taste of the wine. A lot of things, cannot even remember everything.

After the wine tasting session, it was time for us to move to the zebra couch area to get down to business – THE BAGS!
This session was hosted by Marcus and Rachel of LuxOnU. Other than being briefed about what does LuxOnU do, they also had volunteers to examine some of the bags that were presented. I was one of the volunteers, LOL! We didn’t get to keep the bags though :(
We also had a discussion on two Louis Vuitton bags that were presented to us. We were asked to tell whether the bags are genuine or not.

We didn’t get the zebra couch :(

All the bags were stuffed in that large LongChamp

Bag analysis
During this session, i realized that LuxOnU is more than just a boutique that sells handbags. It’s something deeper than that. Reason saying so is because based on the topics that we all discussed about during that session, it was easy to tell that LuxOnU is also a place for designer bags enthusiasts.
Rachel who is from Switzerland shared with us her stories about bags and the importance of taking care of our bags. Taking care of designer bags is very important cause we paid so much for it, and the task is not as easy as it seems.
Bags can transfer colours from one another, like for example a dark coloured bag placed beside a white leather bag can transfer its colour onto the white bag. The weather can also cause bags to lose their colour, and even grow mold!
Rachel also shared a little tip with us on how to clean white bags; Johnson’s white baby lotion! Works for white, cream and beige coloured leather bags! I was delighted when i heard the tip!
Of course other stains on the bag such as ink stains require different solutions. LuxOnU can help with that, all you gotta do is ask!
Towards the end of the session, we were all given goodie bags in courtesy of LuxOnU and Sweet Indulgence.

ANYWAYS! I have good news for all of you!

Love From Korea

Recently Kel Li was sent to Korea for a short company trip and she came back with these for me! Of all places, she gets to go to KOREA!
She came back telling me stories that made me change my mind about Korea. I never thought of going to Korea at first. In fact, i didn’t even have the interest to go. However after i’ve heard how nice that place is for shopping.. i’m sold.
You can go monitor her blog for more updates on Korea. Part one is already up and i’m patiently waiting for the second part cause that’s the part where she reveals the stuff she bought from Korea. HURRY UP ALREADY, HAMS!

Authentic Korean facial mask, okay. With Korean writings and all. I’m just gonna assume that i have to leave the mask on for 10 – 15 minutes.
.. Obviouslyyy.
But since this mask came all the way from Korea, gonna be kiamsiap a bit and leave it on for 15 minutes. Hiuk hiuk..
Well i just used the Vitamin E mask. It’s my first time using a paper mask so.. uh.. it was a bit difficult to adjust the mask on my face. Think it’s slightly too big for my face.
But still.. i managed.

Hoho..
I like the mask. Skin came out feeling fressshhh! :)
Quicksnap

Once again, i didn’t manage to post this up before i left the house. This was taken earlier this evening before i was heading out to Jaya One for a stand up comedy by MACC called Internal Affairs.
I just had my hair washed that’s why it’s all frizzy. Also i’m wearing Blincon’s cyclone black contact lenses, which kinda freaked Kel Li out when she saw me just now. Big and round, they are :o
p/s: Internal Affairs was real good. I enjoyed my time there and i had some good laughs and giggles. I’m glad that i agreed to buy the tickets to this show; i bought them a month ago okay! They’re worth the time and money. It was quite an eye opener regarding the topics in our country. Do support our local talents! :)
