Random & Funny: Lip My Stockings

screen-shot-2010-09-30-at-12524-pm

LOL! Omg i never thought that something so silly can make me laugh so bad. My sense of humour is rubbish cause i think i’m gonna be the only one who thinks that this is super funny.

Amazing how typography and audio can be so funny when combined together. After watching the first video, i was curious about where this audio came from. Hence, the second video. Prease watch both of them :)

So remember guys, when you receive a premium fantasy from a Mr. Kazu, you gotta lip them. Prease.

Hurts: Happiness album review

About a couple of weeks back, i’ve mentioned to you guys about this new duo from the UK called Hurts. Well thanks to Sony Music, i’m gonna be sharing their first album with you guys!

It’s always nice to open up to new things, especially when it comes to music. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. So i hope you guys will open up to new music with me in this post :)

The album by Hurts is titled Happiness and it contains a total of 11 tracks.

Despite the album being named Happiness, the vibe that this album is sending off is quite the contrary. It’s not just the album packaging, but also the music itself. It somewhat has a gloomy vibe.

The album doesn’t have much colour, in fact it’s entirely black and white. Even the contents of the booklet is in monochrome. Though it might come off as boring, but i think it gives the album a very sleek and classic touch.

The tracks are pretty much like the colours in the album too. Most of the tracks contain strong words which are about heartbreaks and such. Like don’t leave me, i’m lonely that kinda stuff.

Although most of the tracks sound gloomy, the combination of classical instruments here and there with electronic sounds sets Hurts apart from being labelled as emotional. It’s really different.

And the voice! Oh the voice!

I know i said that his voice reminds me of The Killers before, but now i feel so embarrassed for saying so. Theo Hutchcraft sounds nothing like that! Every note he sings is so soothing in a way.

I think Theo Hutchcraft has one of the nicest voice. It’s like you can tell from his voice that he’s handsome, thus i’ll describe his voice as a handsome voice.

It’s really hard to decide which one of my favourites i wanna share with you guys here. I have a liking for the tracks here and there like in terms of tune, instruments, lyrics and such.

But i suppose i can share the others with you guys next time. For now i’ll pick two songs to share with you guys! :)

The first one would be the first track in the album titled Silver Lining. The second song would be Stay, which is the fifth track in the album.

And I won’t let you drown, when the water’s pulling you in
I’ll keep fighting, I’ll keep fighting
The rain’s going to follow you wherever you go
The clouds go black and the thunder rolls
And I see lightning, and I see lightning

I really like the starting of the song and for some reasons, that particular part of the song.

We say goodbye in the pouring rain
And I break down as you walk away
(Stay!) (Stay!)
‘Cause all my life I’ve felt this way
But I could never find the words to say
(Stay!) (Stay!)

Well it would be nice to hear from someone that appreciates the music from Hurts. Also, i hope that everyone would listen to them with an open ear because i know it’s not easy when it comes to something different :)

Note: Hurts is a Sony Music artist. Check out Sony Music’s Facebook and Twitter for more!

I’m taking the chance to do a little self-promotion because everyone that i’ve showed this magazine to said that i look very different in most of the pictures. This section talks about the autumn/winter trends for this year, which i think i’ve mentioned before.

Would appreciate it if you guys checked it out. Tell me what do you think. Do i look different or not?

Deadmau5: Ghosts n Stuff

deadmau5red

Joel Thomas Zimmerman (born January 5, 1981), better known by his stage name Deadmau5 (stylized as deadmau5; pronounced “dead mouse”), is a Canadian progressive house and electro house producer based in Toronto, Ontario.

Well to be honest, i don’t really know much about deadmau5. In fact i haven’t really heard of him before. I suppose i don’t do my homework enough and probably cause i’m too young to know *ahem*

But when you’re with a dj, you’re bound to come across a lot of unfamiliar dj names and terms. Err.. yeah i’ll just nod cluelessly then go back and YouTube.

If you’ve watched the MTV VMAs 2010, you might have seen him. His signature mouse headgear is really not that hard to miss. Here’s his ever so popular track, Ghost n Stuff.

Damn, music festivals overseas are always super happening until can cry. People around here need to move around more! Oh and i wanna go to a happening music festival too :(

I can totally relate to the first one. I hate making trips to the toilet, especially when i’m out. Yucks, dirty toilets.
