Christmas in Singapore

Omg i totally lost track of time until i didn’t realize that it’s gonna be a completely new year in just two more days! It’s so frightening and exciting at the same time!

I’ve been having a really good time lately, except for that short period when my wisdom tooth was causing me pains. In fact, i’ve decided to make a rather efficient update because i’m in quite a good mood now. Rarity!

So last Friday, we flew down to Singapore in the afternoon for Christmas Eve. It’s only a matter of time that we become real regulars in Singapore because we fly down quite often.

This trip was a little different because we usually go down for a night in Singapore whenever the boys have a gig. This time, we decided to stay in Singapore for two nights. More time for us to relax and explore.

Flying during a holiday season is quite a pain. We were surrounded by noisy and some annoying kids in the plane. Some so annoying that can make you hate kids forever -_-

My face was still quite swollen, but nonetheless better than the day before. I guess it doesn’t really show in the picture. It kinda looks like i grew chubbier. But still.. i felt ugry.

Unfortunately, i was on medication. The dentist gave me two types of antibiotics to cure the infection, and i had to take two of each for about three times a day.

It sucks to be taking medicine when you know there’s gonna be partying that weekend.

And drinks.

:(

Anyway, our flight was delayed quite a bit due to heavy traffic. So insane. We didn’t really have a proper lunch either. By the time we arrived in Singapore, it was around 4pm.

We napped, ate our dinner and dolled up together and off we went to the newly opened Soul Club, where supastardj Hoong will be playing at.

My sister didn’t allow Albert to drink because the rules are really strict in Singapore, like no drink and drive. Cops here are REAL cops. Strict, efficient, and ready to serve.

Try to offer time one tiny bribe and you’ll go straight to jail. Unlike our fat ones here..

Willingly did the duckface plus hairstache combo. Obviously, i was trying to find every way to hide the swollen side of my face.

To be honest, i don’t really feel much for Christmas. It’s unfortunate that i don’t know how to enjoy Christmas. I didn’t grow up with Christmas. Plus, it doesn’t snow here. Snow and winter clothing always bring a stronger Christmas feeling.

Without it, it’s just meh.

The next day, we took the train from Dhoby Gaut to Sommerset for lunch and some shopping. From Sommerset we walked along Orchard to Ion Mall.

Hurhur taking the MRT. We’re really getting the hang of traveling by train already. We so loh-cal..

By the wayyy.. the streets on Christmas day itself was CRAZY!

It was like a dark ocean that consists of black balls bopping around, because there were that many people on the streets! Fortunately it wasn’t as jam packed as Zoukout, where you have no choice of direction and just go where ever the “current” takes you.

Forget about asking someone to take a picture for you cause everyone will be walking past and getting in the way. Just do it.. yourself.

Later that night the locals took us out for some fun. We went to the much talked about Helipad. It’s a really small place with not-very-nice-but-bearable sound system, but one thing that i like bout it is that the kitchen opens until 2.30 am :D

I had my late dinner over there. The food is not bad. Simple stuff like pizza and fish and chips.

And now.. reindeer party!

After Helipad we went to some place else called NaNa. It’s like a Thai club and it opens until 6am! These Singaporeans are crazy with their after parties!

It was already past 3am, but we decided to go check it out anyway. Don’t be such a pooper, right.

I think we were there until 5. I was tired already so no pictures.

The next day, Ahjie took us for lunch at Capital Mall before we headed to the airport. I realized that we were so focused on shopping at Orchard, we forgot bout other malls. I saw some nice things at Capital but didn’t have the time to shop.

Anyways, this trip to Singapore was probably the best one. I had good fun and i really enjoyed myself. Now i can’t wait to save up some money and go back to Sinagpore during the sales to shop!
