Eve of 2011
So how was your new year’s celebration?
I hope you all had a great time. My new year’s celebration wasn’t exactly filled with wild fun, but it was a decent one i suppose. I’m just glad that i didn’t spend it alone :)
Every year my family and i will always have dinner together on new year’s eve. It’s sort of like a tradition. It’s mainly because my mum’s birthday falls on 31st December. So i guess it’ like a new year’s/birthday dinner.
So that Friday night, we continued our family tradition and went to a nearby restaurant to have a simple dinner together.

Rare family photo
I showed this picture to Ben and he said that they probably found me in a dustbin some where with a banana skin on my head because i don’t look like my family.
*imagining a baby with a banana skin on top*
LOL!
Well i think that i look like my mum and i’m sure there are others who agree too! Ben your statement is invalid and will be ignored :p
After dinner, Hoong and i headed to Muse at Jaya One to meet up with some friends. He also had a duty to do, which was to keep the crowd entertained until after the countdown.

Gary, Ben and Tracy

Allan a.k.a Saru-chan and Tracy

Don’t ask me, i have no idea as well :o

The panda wears glasses! :o
We drove up to Genting after the countdown to meet up with more friends. There was an event going on there too by Chivas.
Everything was smooth sailing until we arrived at one spot on the way to Genting. It was terribly jammed! Not to mention we were up hill!
There were toll trucks and broken down cars everywhere. Cars were parked at both sides of the roads. It was so jam, people probably abandoned their cars at the side and chose to walk instead. Which i think it’s a pretty stupid idea la.
We were so close yet so far.
At one point, the cars weren’t moving at all. People actually stopped their cars and went down to have a look. It was 2am at that time. We waited for about 30 minutes for the traffic to start moving again.
When it finally did move, we found out that the police set up a barricade to control the traffic flow. And just when we were about to pass the barricade, THEY CLOSED IT AGAIN!

I swear we have the shittiest luck some times. Shit always happens to us.
Something similar happened to us when we were at the airport too last time. There were quite a lot of people queueing up for immigration check, and we decided to queue up at the automated passport check thingi.
Just when it was our turn, the machine that we were queueing for gets fucked up. And our line just got stuck there when others are moving -_-;;
Times like these makes you wanna kneel down and hold your head.
But in the end we did manage to get to our destination.

And found out that the Chivas event was already dying.
Ah.. the pain.
From being tipsy at Muse and during our journey up until reaching the state of soberness when we were jamming at Genting.
After meeting up with some friends, we decided to go back home. I was really tired. I passed out in the car during the ride home. By the time we got back, it was already around 5am. I slept at 6.
But i guess i didn’t mind all that.
As cheesy as it sounds, there really is a sense of happiness when you wake up beside someone you love. For my case, it was the panda along with Comfy Panda greeting me good morning on the first day of 2011 :)
So how was your new year’s celebration?
Welcome, 2011

I can’t believe that 2010 is already gone. Whenever we reach the end of the year and it’s for a new one it’s like, wow.. we made it through the whole year! It always feels weird stepping into a new year, but we’ll get used to it.
I have a feeling that 2011 will be an exciting year. It’s the year before the much dreaded 2012, and it’s also the year that i will be turning 21. Soon, i will have to accept the fact that i have to grow up.
In other words, i would have to man up. Kick it up a notch and level up (like in RPG).
And so for that, i’ve thought of a couple of things for this year.
This year, i hope to be a better person. I hope to be more responsible and also be more dedicated to the things i do. I hope that i will be more dedicated to this blog, especially.
After receiving an email from a reader, i realized that i really need to get my ass back into blogging. I would like to thank all of you who has stuck with me until now, it must’ve been a bore but i appreciate it.
Though i won’t be starting 2011 with a clean slate because i still have pending posts from 2010, it’s still something to share. Anyway once again i would like to thank you guys for sticking around.
Here’s to a new year!
