Hi, my name is Jamie. I’m born on 7th October, xxxx and I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
To begin with, I am the type of person who appreciates all things beautiful in life. I pay close attention to little details like colours and textures. I love art and music despite my lack of talent and creativity, and because of that I chose to pursue the business industry instead.
Sometimes I can be quite the procrastinator – I work slowly, but surely. I like to take my time with things and disliked being rushed. I am rather shy when it comes to being around new people. However, I can be quite loud and goofy when I’m around people that I’m familiar with.
I can assure you that I am naturally fair and thin. Having people questioning me about my weight has become a norm for me. The answer is simple – I just don’t gain any no matter how much I eat! Think of it as super metabolism :)
I live a pretty average life – I don’t travel a lot and I don’t have any hobbies in particular. I’m an internet addict and it’s amazing how much time I can spend on the net. Things like blogging, surfing, and e-shopping keep me hooked online. When I’m not online, I’ll be out doing the usual things like hanging out, working, shopping, and whatnot.
I have a fatal attraction for all things cute, cosmetics, handbags, shoes, and… pretty much all of the other girly things. However being a girl who grew up playing with Lego more than Barbie dolls, I do have a boyish side of me – I love video games. I have a Playstation 2 that served me well over the years and a Playstation Portable that keeps me company during long waiting hours. I dig games like Tekken, Need for Speed, and lots more.
Blog
I first started blogging back in year 2005. I had a good friend who was blogging so I thought it would be fun to hop in the bandwagon too. I got hooked on blogging ever since. I never thought that I’ll be blogging consistently until now.
So far I changed blog URLs twice including this one. I finally settled down in my own domain, much thanks to Nuffnang who sponsored me. The awesome site banner is done by MCMLXXXI :)
Clappity Sundays is an on-going post that I came up with. Every Sunday, I’ll share a little dose of cuteness with my readers in hopes of brightening up their day. Videoplay is another series of posts where I share various interesting and/or funny videos that I found on YouTube.
Work
I am fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to appear in several local magazines. It all began back in year 2007 when a dear friend introduced me to iFeel magazine’s fashion editor. Believe it or not, my first photo shoot was actually for a fashion spread in a magazine. I was reluctant at first, but after some encouragement from my sister, I decided to give it a shot.
The outcome?
I figured that being on a fashion spread wasn’t really my thing.
However a couple of months later, iFeel’s beauty writer approached me with the opportunity to be on a beauty spread. I found out that I was more suited for this and soon I began working for other magazines as well.
So far I’ve worked with magazines like iFeel, Sisters, Jasmine, and Nuyou to name a few. I have also worked with major cosmetic brands like M.A.C and Shu Uemura as the face model for certain events and happenings.
I’ve learnt a lot while working in this industry even though it is only part-time. However, despite all of that, my goal is to be successful in the business industry.
