Hurts: Better Than Love
British pop duo Hurts consists of Adam Anderson (right) and Theo Hutchcraft (left), two singer-songwriters who met and then started up a musical relationship online, making music together before they even knew each other.
If you watch MTV a lot, you’ve probably heard of them. They were featured on MTV PUSH around last month or so, if i’m not mistaken. I know because i saw them on tv while i was at the gym.
Well i wouldn’t say i’m a big fan of them yet, but i think that their music is rather nice. It’s like the kind of tune that sounds different yet familiar at the same time.
I know it’s a shallow thing to say but when i first saw their music video, the first thing i noticed was how good looking the singer was in the video. Theo Hutchcraft has this resemblance to Arthur from Inception. If you haven’t watched Inception then shame on you.
Looks aside, he also has a very nice voice. His voice reminds me of The Killers. Though his singing sounds a lot like The Killers, the music however is totally different.
Here’s a video of their first single. Honestly speaking, i think i’m starting to like the song. It took me 3 plays to appreciate it. Hope you’ll grow a liking for it like i did :)

Pretty: Colorsbead
Here comes the return of the little goodness!
Dear Joey has started her own little business and it would be cool if you guys could help her out. This young lady is offering customizable accessories like bracelets and keychains through her blogshop Colorsbead.
As far as i know, the accessories that Joey offers are different from the rest out there cause i haven’t seen any like hers before. Or i could just be outdated. Anyway, they look a little something like this:

Well i hate to admit it but i’m starting to like a couple of songs that’s been playing on the radio recently. Honestly, don’t really like the idea of the radio overplaying certain songs cause they tend to get over rated.
But recently, i gave in to a couple of songs like Christina Aguilera’s Not Myself Tonight, Adam Lambert’s If I Had You and Usher’s OMG.
Now i’m pretty sure most of us don’t really pay much attention to the details of the music industry. All we ever do is just like a particular singer or song and that’s it. Well, there’s more to than just that. It’s such coincidence that i noticed all of the artists i mentioned belong to the music label Sony Music.
You’ll be amazed by the list of artists under Sony Music – all the jizzy ones! Ke$ha, Pitbull, Lenka, Justin Timberlake, Boys Like Girls.. there’s just too many! They have all the American Idols too. You can view the whole list of Sony Music artists here :o
Some of my personal favourites are John Mayer, My Chemical Romance, The Ting Tings, and of course Britney Spears and my recent favourite, Christina. Ooh and System of a Down too! *chop suey!*

We have our very Sony Music here in Malaysia and they are on Facebook and Twitter. Jason always thought that Sony Music is just based at the US and i was like no silly, Sony Music is everywhere including Malaysia!
I’ve join Sony Music Malaysia’s Facebook page and it’s pretty happening. Our Malaysian Sony Music is just as awesome as the one in US. There’s always updates from them so you’ll know the latest happenings – concerts, album releases and what nots.
Oh and not to mention, they’re very generous as well – always giving away goodies like CDs, movie passes and all sorts of other Sony Music merchandise. I’m always hoping for Britney stuff stuff from my favourite artists to be given away. Ahem *cough*

Oxy Class Attack
Having blackheads is one common and annoying problem. They are unattractive and sometimes hard to get rid off. I’m not sure bout you guys but i think blackheads looove appear around the nose area. Correct me if i’m wrong but that’s how it is for me.
Anyway, i got these babies here a couple of weeks ago to try out.
Oxy has a whole range of products for blemish prevention. The ones i’ve got here is specially targeted for blackheads. Getting rid of blackheads takes some effort, and i believe these products can help.
First up, the oil control cleansing wipes. Pretty much like your average wet tissue, minus the strong fragrance some wet tissues have. However, what i like bout this one here is the ingredients. Menthol for that cool refreshing feel and aloe extracts to repair acne prone skin.
All focused on preventing blemishes and controlling excess sebum secreted by the skin.
It removes make up rather efficiently too. Always be gentle while removing make up, wouldn’t wanna rub the skin too hard and cause sagging and such. Ugh! Be patient :)
Next, cleanse face with the blackhead clearing wash. It has Jojoba microbeads to exfoliate the skin – clearing blackheads and preventing new ones from forming.
I have to admit that i kinda like this one here. It smells clean, fresh, and a little lemony. Though i don’t see any lemon listed in the ingredients. My face felt a lot cleaner and fresher after using this wash, not to mention that it doesn’t dry out the skin too.
Ohhh one thing bout blackheads. Here’s a tip, have a hot shower. The steam from the hot water will open up the pores. Then, use a nose pore strip to get rid of those disgusting buggers from the nose!
Cause when the pores are open, the easier it is to remove all the blackheads and dirt from the pores. Don’t forget to read the instructions on how to use the pore strip though.
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes, standard time. But DON’T fall asleep.. or get carried away with whatever you’re doing. Cause things might get ugly if you do. Trust me i’ve been there. And it wasn’t good.

I don’t know bout you guys, but i absolutely love the feeling of unwrapping a package or a gift. One of the best gifts i’ve received actually came to me by mail. I still remember that day when i came home to a fat little envelope waiting for me on my table.

Little Trinket
I’ve always had a thing for accessories – earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings.. you name it. I really wished i had more of them, but the problem is that it’s really difficult to find the right accessories for myself. I want them pretty, i want them to come in affordable prices, and most especially i want them to fit me well.
The biggest challenge is finding the right bracelet or ring. I hate it.
I don’t get to wear pretty rings eventhough they’re adjustable. If i really want to wear them, i’ll have to distort the shape of it just to fit my slender fingers. And sometimes, the charm itself is just too big! So forget bout rings.
At least there’s still some hope for the other hand/arm accessory – the bracelet. The only problem i have to face is the fitting. And perhaps the charms.
Argh! All these complications over such a small matter. You know what the best solution would be?
