DiGi Campus roadshow

dsc03961

A couple of weeks ago i checked out the DiGi Campus roadshow at Asia Cafe. It seemed pretty simple from the outside, but it actually had more to offer despite its looks.

The first thing i noticed there was the table with two laptops on it.

dsc03954

I used one of them to show the DiGi promoters my blog. Then i thought, how convenient it would be to have free surfing with DiGi Campus. 3G services really cost a bomb and what the DiGi Campus package has to offer is really a good deal.

I can imagine surfing YouTube, checking emails and Twitter, and approving blog comments without having to worry bout my credit. It’s so much less stressful that way. Spoken from experience, yeap.

Oh, the promoters were such nice people, really. I’m surprised that they took interest in my blog. Real friendly. They were even willing to pose for the camera.

dsc03963

The next thing i noticed was the heap of boxes piled up at the DiGi Campus booth. They pretty much reminded me of pizza boxes.

I asked the promoter what were they and he said that they were free gifts for those who signed up for DiGi Campus. He was even nice enough to show me what’s inside the pizza box!

dsc03962

Inside the pizza box there were cute stickers, a couple of Nescafe freebies, and most of all, vouchers worth up to RM 200!

One voucher that caught my eye was the voucher for free cosmetic products from Clinique!

dsc03956

Jizz much.

DiGi Campus

From and to Sue, with love.

And that is an example of how Sue and i communicate over text message. Short and simple. Sometimes it gets so short that i don’t even know why i even bother using 10 cents just to reply. Some text messages are as short as two letters, “Ok”.

And in my mind, i was thinking that if i don’t show a response by replying at least something like an “ok”, the sender might think that i didn’t get the message. However if i do reply, i’ll seem stupid cause it’s only two letters so what’s the point?

I really hope i’m not the only one that experiences this cause there should be at least one person out there who goes through this too. If not confirm i’m labeled as weird.

Eh?

Anyways, of course there’s a solution to everything. And i found mine.

I would like to introduce DiGi’s Campus plan which offers students free calls, free SMS, and free surfing wherever they are nationwide.

It used to be limited to 15 selected campus areas, but now the all new DiGi Campus is available at almost 200 universities and colleges.

Even Domo-kun is impressed.

dsc04896
Nah, give you flower.

But WAIT.

We all know that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Well, there is sometimes but you catch my drift.

Free calls are only applicable for DiGi to DiGi numbers after spending an amount of RM 2 total daily on calls, SMS, MMS, data and more.

Easy!

Users will also get to enjoy free SMSes to 11 of their Friends and Family numbers anytime and anywhere. Ohhh, i’m liking this.

Not only that, free surfing is available after the usage of the month exceeds RM 30 for data. Perfect for internet addicts like me. Good news for Facebook and Twitter whores, hee.

And it only gets better cause with this, we get to enjoy free connectivity with our friends just by reloading any value once a year and we will stay connected with our friends for the next FOUR years upon activation. That’s practically when you finish your whole course, haha.

Of course along with all these, we have rewards such as reload and birthday bonuses to name a couple. It’s all good :)

Now we all can stay connected without any limitations. And ironically this picture has 11 of my friends inside, excluding myself. Hee

Clinelle

Recently i’ve switched my skin care to Clinelle. I got the basic skin care products that are suitable for normal to oily skin types.

I have the very basic cleanser, toner, and moisturizer.

dsc03262

I have to admit that i kinda like Clinelle’s products.

I think that Clinelle’s deep cleansing gel is a little bit different. It has natural ingredients such as green tea leaf and ivy extracts. It just feels so natural.

dsc03315

The gel is slimy and gooey, but it feels really nice when it’s applied onto the face.  The smell is not too strong and not too artificial either. Like i said, it feels very natural.

Next up is the purifying toner.

It feels like any other toner, but the scent is somehow different. When i used it for the first time, it reminded me of that expensive spa at KL my mum brought me to.

I had no idea why it reminded me about the spa then until i checked the ingredients of the toner. It contains ingredients such as tea tree oil, lavender essential oil, aloe vera, and Chamomilla Recutita extract.

No wonder!

The moisturizer is something i’d really like to rave about.

I had NEVER applied moisturizer during the day before going out because i’ve never found the right moisturizer that doesn’t make my skin feel oily.

The previous moisturizer that i was using is hell, that’s why i only apply it before going to bed. So that i don’t have to endure the eekyness on my skin. Yeah sure it’s moisturizing but i hate moisturizers that makes the skin feel oily -_-;;

And i swear, Clinelle’s Moisture Glow is my savior. Read on.

One day, i woke up in the morning and did my lady things as usual. But this time it was different, i applied my moisturizer before going out to run some errands.

I took this picture after i came home in the afternoon with natural lighting. With NO make up on.

dsc03276-copy

One word.

Matte.

My skin was not oily at all. JIZZ!

After going here and there from morning till afternoon, still matte. I love this moisturizer. I do believe that it also depends on how much amount you apply. Not too little, not too much.

Clinelle’s SnoWhite Mask helps in brightening and hydrating the skin. I don’t see much use of that for me cause i’m already quite fair myself, but i still tried it out.

I like the fact that it’s cream based. I have a hard time dealing with masks that hardens and/or requires peeling. Imagine if you wanna laugh and you have a clay mask on. Everything is gonna crack for sure!

So this cream based mask is a lot better :)

On the other hand, i also like Clinelle for its packaging.

I do pay attention to what’s written at the back of my products. Descriptions, ingredients, and also directions.

.. Weird, i know. Read on.

dsc03326

I feel that many people don’t pay much detail when caring for their skin. Clinelle’s directions really remind people how to do so.

Like patting your face dry instead of just plain wiping. Or applying your skin care in gentle upward strokes.

If we really want to maintain good skin conditions in the long run, these small details count.

People who use cosmetics often should know the importance of proper skin care. Surely we don’t want pre-mature wrinkles, sagging, uneven skin tone and stuff like those. Personally i think it’s scary, that’s why i try my best to take care of my skin.

However that doesn’t mean those who don’t use make up don’t have to take care of their skin.

Everyone HAS to!

Not only females, but also males. It’s not gay at all, trust me. Chicks really dig guys who take care of their skin.

I strongly believe in the term “Beautiful make up starts with beautiful skin”.

And i also think that it’s a lot easier that way.

A very simple way of preparing for a day out.

1. Apply moisturizer and sun block
2. Apply some concealer if needed
3. Curl lashes before applying brown eyeliner
4. Mascara, take your time with this
5. Set your hair and put on a pair of nice earrings

dsc03355

And you’re done! :)

Clinelle also has other range of products available at any leading pharmacies. Price ranges from RM 16 to RM 70 in which i think is very reasonable. And restocking definitely won’t be a problem :)

Nuffnang Music Bash 2009

Have you ever thought of trying to dress up like a music celebrity?

Well i’m sure some of us did. Wouldn’t you want to try out Avril Lavigne’s funky dressing for once?

Or even for the fun of it?

Pink highlights, check.
Checkered mini skirt, check.
Fish nets, check.
Knee socks, check.
High heels, check.

Looking good. But there’s just one problem.

You missed the chanced to dress like Avril cause her concert in KL was last year. And if we really did dress up like that in public now, people will just give us that look.

That cock stare look.

Gotta admit that i would do that too.. sometimes.

Okay, forget Avril.

How bout Justin Timberlake?

The whole vest and blazer thing going on. And maybe even with the fedora hat. Stylish, no doubt.

But if we really did, people might think we’re overdressed!

So again with the cock stare..

Sien.

What’s up with our society?

Okay, so what if i told you that you can get a chance to dress up as any music celebrity you want AT A PARTY?

Think about the music and dancing involved!

And what if, i told you that you’ll get rewarded with a prize like a Sony Playstation 3 just by doing the best impersonation of a celebrity?

Hmm.. getting rewarded just to play dress up and party. Sounds too good to be true, right?

Well, IT’S TRUE!

There’s a party coming up and everyone is invited!

Nuffnang and Maxis are throwing a party in conjunction of the new Maxis USB Modem.

It’s the Nuffnang Music Bash 2009 and this party is giving us the chance to get down right crazy and creative!

Date: 4th of April 2009, Saturday
Time: 6 pm till 10 pm
Venue: Maison, Heritage Row of Kuala Lumpur
Dress code: Music celebrities

This costume party is like a passport to let us dress up as any artist we want!

Thinking about it makes me excited. Just how often do we have costume parties around other than the time during Halloween?

Costume parties are so much fun. But the only down side is deciding what to dress up as. And what can a girl like me possibly dress up as for this party?

I asked a couple of friends, and i hate to say that the answers i got were kinda weird.

Hik suggested that i should dress up as Paris Hilton. Or Lindsay Lohan. Around that category. And he said, “You are Paris Hilton type, accept it”.

But nooo, Yatz said don’t dress as Paris Hilton cause when i get to the party, i’m gonna see like 5 more other Parises. True enough.

So he gave me this brilliant suggestion to dress up as.. Bjork.

.. With the infamous swan dress.

Confirm win the best celebrity impersonator award. I’ll walk away with a Playstation 3 that night, HAHA! That is if i can get my hands on that swan dress.

Wait, that is if i even DARE to wear that thing!

.. NAHHH!

Well i do have a couple of ideas of my own.

The easiest would be dressing up as Katy Perry. Just put on a pin-up looking dress and a heavy set of eyelashes, and i’m done!

Yes?
No?
Maybe so?

Mmm well, my next option would be dressing up as Lady GaGa.

This one is a little extreme.

I’ll need a blonde wig. And i’ll have to figure out how am i gonna get that lightning print on my face. But nonetheless, it’s a cool choice.

Anyway, i’m gonna need more suggestions. Maybe i should put up a poll too.

This party is gonna be so much fun. I can’t wait to see how everyone else dresses like!

Like i said before, this party is open to everyone. But you gotta follow the magic steps to get an invitation to the Music Bash.

Just write a blog post titled “I’m a musician celebrity thanks to Maxis Broadband” and submit the permalink along with your full name and IC number to musicbash2009@nuffnang.com. Be creative! Who knows you’ll get to win a prize for the most creative blog post ;)

More information in the link below.

Windows Live Messenger on DiGi

On a weekday afternoon, i got a phone call.

Friend: Where are you?
Me: At home, online.
Friend: Okayyy i’ll see you on MSN then *hangs up*

Anyone who knows me well enough would know that i’m an internet junkie. To be specific, MSN junkie.

Don’t have to waste your phone bill, just go on MSN. I’ll be there, confirm. And as always, i’ll be..

“Busy”.

And if i’m not there, i’m actually there. Just appearing offline. Hee!

I know some of you who have my MSN might be wondering which group are you under in my contact list. Well.. you ain’t gonna find out, HA!

Anyway, it seems that MSN is the only way i can keep in touch with a couple of friends now. I don’t even remember when was the last time i saw Jason :(

I wonder what he looks like now..

Speaking on MSN, i was lucky enough to get invited to Nuffnang’s Blogger Nite Out with DiGi at Friendster Cafe, Damansara Perdana.

What for?

Well, DiGi and Microsoft teamed up to bring Malaysia’s first integrated instant messaging mobile service, called Windows Messenger Live on DiGi and we got the chance to experience it first-hand!

Believe it or not, Windows Live Messenger is now available for mobile phones. Screw PDAs, now we don’t have to spend so much on them anymore.

The mobile MSN is almost like the real thing, except it’s more minimal.

Although my conversation with the moderator was brief, i had fun trying out this new service. I know i sound damn mengada, but the moderator was nice enough to layan back also, HAHA!

There are only a number of phone models which are compatible with this service.

Phone models that are not listed below, so sorry.

DAMMIT, MY PHONE MODEL IS NOT LISTED!

W595, you’ve failed me.

Oh btw, check out my super cute wallpaper.

Anyway, it’s not a big deal if your phone model is not listed in the compatible list. Just throw your current phone away and get a new one that’s on the list, HAHA!

I’m just kidding, come on. Please don’t do that.

.. DON’T AH.

They at DiGi know that we love this on our phones, and that’s why new phone models will be constantly added onto the compatibility list. Just check out this site for updates.

DiGi subscribers can enjoy a two-month FREE trial. If you like it, you can keep it for a nominal flat rate of RM 3 per month, with NO additional charges after the free trial period.

The promo ends on 16th May 2009.

Sounds good?

All you gotta do is just follow these simple steps to get Windows Live Messenger on your DiGi mobile.

Please note that you will need to activate your GPRS for this. SMS SETUP to 2000.

Ohh and watch this. This is the commercial for the Windows Live Messenger on DiGi. It’s really cute and i love that song. Mm!

Now here are the rest of the pictures from that night :)

Me with my rubbish handwriting on the DiGi IM wall

I’m not THAT sloppy, honest!

Nasty prizes to be won. I WANT.

Soon Seng, me, Kate, and Zoey. People from the table i was sitting at

Nuffnang’s featured blogger for March, Yatz

The neighbouring table

Fun and games time

Lucky Kenny won an Oakley from the lucky draw!

Caught in the shower, gasppp

Don’t forget to try this out before the free trial ends, alright :)

Xpax presents Sunburst

By far the sexiest song, ever.

Definitely something different from mainstream. This song deserves more recognition.

I love the sounds of N.E.R.D. It’s something you don’t get everyday. Not to mention, Pharrell. Hotness!

I never thought that there will be a day that N.E.R.D. will be here.. in Malaysia!

That’s right, the Sunburst International Music Festival is back again.

The line up sounds too good to be true it’s gonna be another big one. As if one arena is not enough, there’s gonna be six performance stages including a Silent Disco Arena.

Artists from various countries (international, regional, and local) with be performing for 12 hours. To name a few:

N.E.R.D.

Korn

Bunkface

Butterfingers

Estranged

And that’s not even half of it. Hmm..

N.E.R.D.
Silent Disco Arena.
12 hours of continuous music.
Pharrell (!!)

Thinking about it makes me excited already.

Now aren’t we all wishing for free tickets?

.. Well I AM.

Fortunately there’s S.O.X.

School of X (S.O.X.) is a prepaid plan that’s specially for teenagers between 12 and 18 years old.

All you gotta do is:

  1. Be a S.O.X. member
  2. Type REGFREETIX
  3. Send to 2881
  4. Upon receiving a confirmation via SMS, reload RM30 before 17 March 2009 for a chance to win!

As simple as that!

Move.. she wants to move..
