This was taken on last Friday. We had to go to a birthday celebration at Ecobar, Damansara Perdana and i wanted to look pretty. So i went for a simple brown smokey eye instead of the usual plain eyeliner and mascara.
Simple, yet pretty :)
It looked a bit boring on its own, so i added a pair of heavier lashes to pump up them peepers. Details after the close up. This time only on the eyes cause everything else remains the same as the previous one.

And here comes probably the cheapest solution for pimples - Nixoderm. Just RM 4.90 for one sized like a 50 cent coin.
Apparently Nixoderm goes way back. Whenever my mum spots me with a nasty pimple, she would say “Got put Nixoderm or not?! Better put ah! And don’t press it ah!”
Then, she would go on about her using Nixoderm for her pimples back in her days and how she never put on any make up besides some lipstick and blusher in all her life.

ANYWAY.
Spot a little red bump on your face?
- That’s a pimple-to-be! (or is it?)

Apply some Nixoderm right away day and night on that little nasty thing before it evolves to something nastier. Then let nature take its course. It really helps.
I lost my Nixoderm some time ago (cause it’s so small) and the consequences were horrible! Finally made an effort to go to the pharmacy a couple of days ago to get a new one cause i spotted a pimple-to-be.
Started applying it since yesterday afternoon and it’s making some improvements now :)
Drinking plenty of water and going to bed before 12 am would help even more. I know it’s easier said than done *ahem* but let’s just try our best :)
p/s: I will not be responsible if it didn’t work for you. Results vary for different people. Besides, i did not promise 100% effectiveness.

Hi guys,
I know i know, this place is starting to look kinda dead right. When i want to write a post, i don’t have the time to. And when i have the time to work on a blog post, i don’t have the materials.
I kinda lost the mojo for photo taking cause of my camera. Don’t buy a Sony cause they are actually not that great. Anyway, i’ll try to bring up the mojo again. Or else this blog confirm cannot laku already.
So anyway, last Friday i had a rather good day. I was getting dolled up to go out that night and my eye make up came out really nice.

And i thought hey, maybe i should blog more of these. My make up looks :)
I like to try different techniques and styles when it comes to eye make up. Though most of the time i’ll go with the smokey eye. The cheeks and lips always stay the same cause i’m not much of a lipstick person.
Sometimes i get good results, sometimes i get lousy results. There’s some mood to it. I won’t say that my skills are awesome and perfect, but i do try to improve.
Here’s a close up. Details after the pic :)

Okay, so here comes the much anticipated post.
About a couple of months ago, i received an email from Cellnique saying that i would be given the opportunity to try some of their products and write a review on them. That was some rare offer that i just couldn’t refuse!
Finally, something within my interest and expertise ;)
Here’s the thing, the problem with my skin is that the blemish spots (or shall i say scars) recover very slowly because my skin not hydrated enough. This sucks.
Although i don’t get pimples very often, i still do get them. And when i do, they often leave a nasty scar behind. In fact, i’m having one nasty zit now and it’s gonna leave its mark behind for sure.
My beautician always stresses to me that i must be more hardworking in doing masks at home - especially hydrating masks cause it will improve my skin’s hydration level and recovery rate. I guess there’s a logic to that. Keeping the skin hydrated can also prevent acne cause the skin won’t have to secrete so much sebum.
So conclusion - hydration, good. Mask at home, important. Maintenance is the key. No point going for facials one a month and you don’t take care after that.
Moving on to the review.

Here in this picture i have Cellnique’s Vital Repair Cleansing Milk (small sample bottle), Vital Cellular Repair Masque (top), and Advanced Bio Renewal Masque (bottom).
It would be great if you have the tools with you because they are really useful when it comes to doing masks. You can get the set from stores like Sasa, they won’t cost too much.
Okay, so the first masque i did was the Advanced Bio Renewal Masque. It’s one of Cellnique’s star product. Anyone who tries this will definitely fall in love with it.
Description:
This unparalleled scrub mask is formulated with bio-captured fresh fruit enzymes and acids complex. It works effectively in exfoliating dead cells, optimizing cellular renewal performance and deep pore cleansing, thus revealing a softer, fresher and healthier skin.

The difference with this and a normal facial scrub is that the Advanced Bio Renewal Masque penetrates deep into the skin and it works more effectively than the usual scrub.
It’s always used during my facial sessions. It is commonly known as “the masque with pineapple smell” because of its fruity scent.
Now here’s a bonus.
This masque can also be used with Cellnique’s Vital Repair Cleansing Milk, another star product.
Description:
A unique cleanser that does not only effectively remove make-up and pollutants, but also nourishes your skin with essential vitamins and humectants. Vitamin C and Wheat Germ contained within this cleanser help battle against free radicals. Suitable for all skin types, including post operation skin.
It can be used on it’s own OR mixed together with the Advanced Bio Renewal Masque to increase softening during the weekly exfoliate routine. It’s not a must, just something additional. The masque will still work effectively without it.

So anyway, i added equal amounts of Vital Repair Cleansing Milk and Advanced Bio Renewal Masque into a bowl and mixed them together with a spatula. The texture came out to be some what creamy, along with microbeads inside.
Then, i applied it on my face by using a brush. A brush is very useful for application cause you get to reach all those nook and crannys on your face. Plus, you’ll get to have precise application around sensitive areas like the eyes.

This masque has a mild tingling sensation because of the pineapple extract. Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes, though i prefer to leave it on for 20 minutes - the longer the better. Then, wet the face and slightly massage for about 15 seconds in circular motions. Sensitive skins can skip this part.
Now here comes the result.
I have to apologize deeply because i forgot to take a ‘before’ picture. How unprofessional of me :S
But i assure you that i am completely honest in what i have to say in this review. Also, no photoshopping - free from whatever skin smoothening, removing dark circles and all that nonsense. NO TRICKS.

After using Advanced Bio Renewal Masque, my face came out smoother and softer. It’s also slightly fairer because the masque did a great job in removing the dead skin cells.
However, i wouldn’t say that this masque magically made my blemish scars one or two tones lighter as these things take time. I’d have to use it regularly to see better results for my scars.
My skin pampering session didn’t just stop there. I proceeded with the next masque - Vital Cellular Repair Masque.

Description:
This gentle, nourishing and repairing mask is specially enriched with potent nutrients of to promote healthy skin and to further protect your skin from pollutant and environmental allergen assault. Suitable for all skin types including post-operation skin.
This masque increases and retains skin moisture, firms and tones up the skin, and removes damaged and dead skin cells as well. Awesome.
The texture is some what slimy (though the proper term would be creamy).

The masque feels very soothing - the kind that makes you wanna lay back with cucumber slices on your eyes. At first, you can from the picture that the masque is still visible. 10 to 15 minutes later, the masque is not so visible anymore as it’s absorbed by the skin.
When the time is up, wash it off and pat dry. Then, stand in front of a mirror and admire. Touch touch a bit also (make sure your hands are clean!)

This is like the icing on the cake for me. After the masque, my skin was firmer and supersofter. I felt sooo much younger. There’s a healthy glow to it too.
Suddenly, all my worries about staying up late and torturing my poor stressed up skin were forgotten.
Here’s a close up, NO TOUCH UP or whatever nonsense. You can even see my contact lens and eye veins, gross hahaha.

Skin is visibly smooth thanks to the two masques - Advanced Bio Renewal Masque and Vital Cellular Repair Masque. No drastic changes on the blemish spots (left cheek) but they are slightly lighter compared to the last time i did the masque. Whole face looks fairer and fresher too.
Now for the additional stuff. Bonus review.
The pores on my nose minimized and almost clear from blackheads and whiteheads with the use of Cellnique’s Skin Action Sebum Gel. I would be lying if i said they are completely free from black/white heads. But honestly, WAY BETTER when compared to last time.
The area around my nose and inner cheeks came a looong way since i started using the sebum gel. They used to be rough because of the clogged pores. Not to mention, visibly gross. Like you can actually see the 3D-ness of the clogged pores. Now, the pores are smaller and the skin around that area is smoother.
Well, that’s it for now. I hope some of you found this useful. And please do try to keep the comments (if any) related to the post. It would be much appreciated.
