Some how today isn’t really my day. I went solo to run some errands today and they weren’t so smooth. And some how even the smallest thing contributes to my grumpiness; like this stupid air freshener -_-;;
New car scent, it seems. My ass!
Not only it requires a weird way of using it, but it also smells nothing like a new car scent. I was looking forward to use this air freshener so much when i got it weeks ago. How disappointing.
One thing good is that the smell is very strong. The down side is that i hated the smell and it was so overpowering until i got a headache for inhaling too much of it.
Imagine the smell if i removed it completely from the plastic. I could’ve died.
However i’m all about giving the benefit of the doubt, so i’m gonna leave it in my car until the next time i drive it.
I have the leather scented one and i sure hope it will actually smell like leather instead of some cheap ass scent i can’t describe.
Okay so after going through a couple of bumps while running my errands, i decided to go for a little retail therapy. Who would’ve that i would also encounter some bumps while trying to relax. Grumpy much!
But anyways i ended up buying necessities and a couple of things i felt like buying from Sasa and Watsons. Nothing i would go beaming and melting over at. Most boring (but i suppose useful) harvest ever.
Here are some of the stuff that’s worth sharing.
One of two loots from Sasa. I’ll be looking forward to using this with my lipsticks and lipglosses. If it turns out well, i’ll probably use it to do on-lip swatches on some lipsticks and lipglosses :)
And as for the other product from Sasa, it’s Dejavu’s Lash Knockout mascara. Love it so i’m restocking it. I tried to do a review on it but i gave up cause i couldn’t capture the results of the mascara properly. Nonetheless, i would recommend this mascara.
Liese’s Hair Cocktail Moisturizing Hair Serum from Watsons. Bought this for the sake of buying. Oh and trying *cough*
I was actually look for Essential but they didn’t have it. Initially i asked my sister to buy me some Essential products from Singapore before coming home last weekend, but she Essential is available in KL. I have no idea where to find it. Does anyone know?
If we don’t have it here, then obviously we have to get it from Singapore *hint*
However, i’m very sure that we can only get it from Singapore cause i checked the site. Ahjie if you’re reading this you know what to do. I want stuff from the orange range.

I’m having hair issues recently so i hope these will comfort me a bit.
I was just doing some surf shopping and suddenly it reminded me of them. And btw, that picture is wayyy outdated. I guess now is the perfect time to post them since i have a story to go along with the pictures :D
You see, Jen is the woman to talk to when it comes to savvy shopping. Bazaars and online sprees, she’s got it. From what i know, she’s always buying things here and there for a really good deal. She’s also the goddess of product research *eggsellent*
And she’s got loadsss of stuff. She even has more makeup than me, confirm!

LOL! No it was just a funny name for some flavoured lipbalm, which i forgot what flavour.
Okay anyway. Moving on to Kel Li, she’s sort of like the investing type. She only spends on something that she thinks is worth the price.
Me, i’m in the middle. I do shop online once in a while, and i’d be willing to splurge on something that i think is worth it. Be it from online or a retail store.
And so coincidentally we’re seated at the right order in that picture, LOL!
I’ve heard many times from Kel Li before about Jen buying makeup online, “If Jen saves up the money she uses to buy all those little little things, she could’ve gotten herself something nice from MAC or something!”.
Yep. I gotta agree to what she’s saying in a way. Think about it.
If you buy.. say 5 cheap earrings from a pasar malam or some place for RM 10, and they end up rusting or something like that, you might as well be better off spending that RM 10 plus some additional RMs on a nice pair of earrings from Diva or something.
This is something i personally experienced, though i haven’t bought accessories from the pasar malam for agesss (besides hair ties and stuff). I’d rather invest on a good pair from Forever 21 or Miss Selfridge/Topshop. They have pretty decent accessories that last quite long.
I have a couple of studs from Forever 21 and Miss Selfridge (recently bought) and i love them to death. I even splurged on a pair from Aldo; LOVE!
So that’s Kel Li’s point.
And then there’s Jen.
I swear, she’s the (good) devil.
I never been so.. drawn before. This Jen is good in enticing people, very very dangerous.
I still remember the day i saw her newly arrived makeup stash from the US. It came in a big brown paperbag with all kinds of stuff inside. I was like
What’s even worst is that she showed me the brushes she bought for only $1 and it’s super soft! ONE DOLLAR!! US dollar, of course. STILL!!
Then she told me about the reviews she read on how all these US brands like NYX and E.L.F can match up to M.A.C and all. It’s like crazy, i tell you. The reviews on the E.L.F brushes are saying things like it’s way better than the ones from M.A.C and they’re like a lot cheaper.
The E.L.F studio brushes sell for $3, which is like RM 10 (direct convert without taxes and etc). And a M.A.C brush is like what, about 100+?
Why not?!
On that night itself i’ve decided that.. i.. WANT *bangs table* these goodies!
So yeah, M.A.C’s ain’t all that after all. Though i’d still stick to M.A.C for certain products, i’m willing to try other brands out as well. Especially E.L.F brushes. I ordered a bunch and i’m dying to receive them.
When is it my turn to hug my own overseas goodies? :(
Another good animated film added into my favourites!
I love animated films with a sense of humor, and Despicable Me is definitely labeled as my type. Honestly, i wasn’t too sure about it when i saw the trailer a long time ago at the cinema. But since everyone was raving about it on Twitter, i figured it was worth giving it a try.
And i say, i like it more than Toy Story 3!
I’m so glad that we got to watch it last Sunday. It was down to Inception or Despicable Me, but we could only make it for Despicable Me. So.. score!
We’ve been watching some serious movies lately (like Bruce Lee movies!) and i guess it’s good to watch something else for a change.
Despicable Me is very entertaining. The characters are one of a kind too; love them. Even more so when i discovered the voice behind the characters.
The main character Gru is voiced by Steven Carell a.k.a Evan Almighty
Gru’s mother is voiced by Julie Andrews
The minions are mostly voiced by the same guy
And also Russel Brand as the voice of the other old fat in the movie. Didn’t manage to find a picture of that guy, but you can see him in the movie trailer.
Everyone wants a minion, by the way. Requests for minions is all over the net! I wouldn’t mind having one or two minions myself too. They can help fetch me things and give me back massages. Oh and probably steal expensive things too cause after all, they are evil minions!
Oh and i almost forgot the three little girls in the movie. Ah you’ll find out more about them when you watch the movie for yourselves :)
One last thing i love about Despicable Me is the musical score.
Pharrell made it!
I love the song Despicable Me, they played it at the beginning of the movie when Gru made his first appearance. I noticed the song at the beginning because it has a very nice tune to it; some what ghetto.
I was surprised but not surprised surprised when i saw Pharrell’s name at the credits.
The movie is very nice. There was not one part where i felt bored like crickets making noise those kind. Go watch it if you haven’t already!

Anyway, clearly i wasn’t blessed with good parking luck earlier today. I spent an hour looking for parking at Mid Valley. I swear i wanted to ram someone down with my car. AND hit my head on the steering wheel.
I wished AhJie was with me cause she’s the pro in preying on people who are walking to their cars. Suddenly i miss her :(
Sigh, so much anger nowadays. I totally need to let it out. Good thing i scheduled my personal training session for tomorrow.
My personal trainer is actually a friend’s friend whom i met at an open-house party long time ago; wonder if he remembers me. I’ll find out tomorrow.
Anyway, here comes the loot from today’s harvest.
Well.. it’s nothing much really. They’re all for gym and yet they sum up into a bomb. It feels quite unsatisfactory, you know. Like, the feeling of spending heaps on text books is different than spending heaps on something you really like or want.

I know i so won’t be taken seriously with those colours. I got my workout attire from My Dance Shop at Mid Valley. They ran out of sizes for black pants, so i went with grey. And i picked a pink top to match it.
Okay and also maybe because the baby pink was pretty looking la -_-
Finding the right shoes was tough though. The one i wanted were either out of size, uncomfortable, or nice in terms of design but ugly in terms colours. It all boiled down to this pair of Nikes, which wasn’t bad at all! I like them.. they’re very cool looking.
Well, i suppose that’s all for now regarding my gym loot. We’ll see how i do tomorrow at my first time at gym. Hopefully i don’t pass out k!

Yesterday, i made a list of things to blog about and i have a total of 10. And they’re all super outdated. I really gotta speed up my blog updates! Hope you guys don’t mind multiple posts a day. Like the diarrhea kind, HAHA!
Alright so anyway, bout a month ago my facial center Lissage de Beauty had a member’s promotion day. They have it every now and then, usually during the weekends.
Members get to renew their facial packages and purchase facial products at a super value price. Members can also bring a friend along to sign up at Lissage de Beauty. They also have lucky draws for members on that day.
I decided to check out the offers they have on member’s day cause my facial package was coming to an end. It was also my first time “attending” member’s day. And for that, i brought my lady friend Jingi along with me.
We had brunch at Starbucks on that Saturday, then headed to Lissage de Beauty after. When we got there, i was surprised to see pink, purple, and silver balloons floating inside the center. Sorry i don’t have pictures of the place, i totally forgot!
Anyway, the balloons were for the lucky dip. Pull down a balloon and there will be a card on top that reveals your prize! Jingi was so lucky! She got a free product that’s worth RM 99 while i got myself a free treatment. Mmmm i’m liking this lucky dip thing *moves eyebrows up and down*
I can’t really recall the exact prices and details for the packages they have, but i do recall that they have 30% of facial products and price cuts for certain products on that day.
I bought myself a facial package for RM 499* which includes eye and neck treatment. Other than that, i bought a toner for.. i think RM 50-ish. Retail price for Soothing and Hydrating Lotion is RM 79. Then i decided to make use of the 30% discount by buying the Advanced Bio Renewal Masque. It costs RM 159 before discount and RM 111.30 after. Review on it here.
It’s was great timing cause both my toner from Kiehl’s and Advanced Bio Renewal Masque was running out. I was so happy!
They also gave us two samples of Cellnique’s products in a little gift pack. One is the Intensive Hydrating Complex and the other is the Skin Action Sebum Gel. I have both products and i’ll honestly say that i love them.
The Intensive Hydrating Complex is a hydrating serum. It comes with a little pipette like this. I use it whenever my skin is peeling due to dryness and after my home facial treatment. It only requires a few tiny drops around the face. It will feel slimy at first, it will smooth out after the skin absorbs it. No sticky feeling.
As for the Skin Action Sebum Gel, i don’t even wanna talk about it. It’s sooo good that it’s as though my life depends on it. It’s tooooooo good. It’s.. MIND BLASTING! (note to self, watch less Russell Peters)

Well i hate to admit it but i’m starting to like a couple of songs that’s been playing on the radio recently. Honestly, don’t really like the idea of the radio overplaying certain songs cause they tend to get over rated.
But recently, i gave in to a couple of songs like Christina Aguilera’s Not Myself Tonight, Adam Lambert’s If I Had You and Usher’s OMG.
Now i’m pretty sure most of us don’t really pay much attention to the details of the music industry. All we ever do is just like a particular singer or song and that’s it. Well, there’s more to than just that. It’s such coincidence that i noticed all of the artists i mentioned belong to the music label Sony Music.
You’ll be amazed by the list of artists under Sony Music - all the jizzy ones! Ke$ha, Pitbull, Lenka, Justin Timberlake, Boys Like Girls.. there’s just too many! They have all the American Idols too. You can view the whole list of Sony Music artists here :o

I woke up this morning at 11.30 am and coincidently, the door bell rang and my dogs started barking. Perfect timing. The postman is here; my package has finally arrived :D
Had brunch while i sorted my emails downstairs, and my second package of the day arrived. Today must be a good day! Besides Twitter going all crazy.
First up - the brown package.
I bought a couple of cosmetics online last week and i finally got my hands on them. I was totally convinced to try buying some cosmetics online when i met up with the bunch couple of weeks ago.
Jen is always buying stuff online and when i saw the parcel of goods that she received i was like GASP!! There’s a whole lot of affordable yet quality cosmetics that’s only available online as we don’t have it around here. At that moment i thought, that’s it. I’m gonna start foruming again.
Apparently this American brand called NYX (pronounced as nix) is damn value. NYX has a wide variety of colours with a good price. Lots of good reviews about their blushers, lipsticks, and so on.
RM 58 for two blushers and a lipstick; equals to one MAC blusher already.
Well, the NYX powder blush is smaller than i thought. But i’m not complaining. It’s quite cute and rather convenient too. More space for my cosmetics bag when i travel!
The packaging is shinier than MAC, making my MAC blusher look duller next to the NYX poweder blush :o
It’s bloody hard to capture the exact colour of the products on my camera, but i tried my best.

NYX round lipstick: Paris
The actual colour for Angel doesn’t look as pink as in the picture, it looks slightly duller and more natural looking. And as for Peach, it’s suppose to look.. well, peachier. Like more orangy. Oh and Angel also has shimmer while it seems to me like Peach doesn’t.
As for the lipstick, i can say that this picture looks very much like the actual product. Just that Paris in real life looks just a little bit lighter.
Grr i wanna put on my new make up! Exam period, won’t be dolling up any time soon i suppose.

Random buys from Sunway today. I was there with Lady Aw for lunch and we did some shopping after. I restocked my mascara, this time i’m trying Dejavu’s new mascara for extra volume. The previous fiberwig mascara i was using was just for lengthening. Can’t wait to try this :)
Oh and we tried on some funky coloured frames at Forever 21, and we decided that we’ll find ourselves a pair of funkier glasses some where else. And then we stumbled upon the bling frames while walking around Asian Avenue.
We bought two bling frames and decided to share em. But Jingi had to take the big red one home for now. Suits her as she was wearing red, and i was in black :p
