Now i’m pretty sure that everyone’s aware of the Korean wave that’s been hitting every country including Malaysia. Sure, some of you might say that you’ve been into Korean music/dramas/culture before it was even cool, but you gotta admit that it has never been so big before until now. Everything from Korea is now being paid extra attention to.

Like plastic surgery.

In South Korea, the people pay a lot of attention to their appearances. It’s true that some people receive nose jobs as graduation gifts from their parents. My sister has a Korean colleague whose parents asked him to fix his nose a.k.a get a nose job because he has a crooked nose.

This is not his nose, btw. I found this on the internet lol.

Some less fortunate people can’t even get a job because of how they look. You’ll be surprised by how some people even get teased and bullied just because they have a crooked jaw or protruding teeth.

Of course, there are those who get plastic surgery not just to “earn a better living”, but out of vanity as well. Double eyelid surgery is as common and easy as spotting an Asian in Melbourne city and nose jobs are like well, gifts! Now when Koreans go for plastic surgery, they just get the whole package. Since you’re already there to do one thing, why not do everything else as well?

Double eyelid, nose, forehead, chin, jaw, fat grafting, botox – whatever, you name it!

Correct me if i’m wrong, but i think plastic surgery is a rising trend in Malaysia now. Some people have done it and are even open about it. So take double eyelids for example. Some people (myself included) use double eyelid stickers or glue to get double eyelids. It’s not such a shock, so why should double eyelid surgery be any more shocking, right?

Then what about other stuff like nose jobs and chin implants?

I know some people think it’s a no-no while some people don’t mind at all. Some people can accept a nose job, but not a boob job, and vice versa. Some even don’t care “as long as she’s pretty”. So how much is too much? How much can you accept?

Ah… the wonders of plastic surgery. So many possibilities and opportunities. I’m sure most of you would agree with me that jaw surgery is the most extreme. But you gotta admit that the third last one turned out to be very pretty though.

So what is it gonna be?

Plastic surgery – yay, nay or meh?

For me, i’m cool with it as long as one does not pretend like it’s god’s given gift. I’m not saying that one should go public and announce it, but just don’t deny it, know what i mean?

I’ve been neglecting facial exfoliation for the longest time and just earlier this year, i decided to make a change in hopes for better skin. It’s great if you go for facial treatments regularly that includes exfoliation, but it also doesn’t hurt to maintain your skin by doing it yourself weekly.

After searching the internet for facial scrub recommendations, i finally came across Skinfood’s Black Sugar Mask, which is one of the brand’s bestsellers. Since there were many positive reviews on it, i decided to try it out for myself.

Enriched with minerals and vitamin, this face scrub effectively exfoliates dead skin that prevents makeup application, while revitalizing skin.

To be honest, i never took exfoliation seriously until recently. I have many blemish spots on my face that take the longest time to fade and i realized that the only way to quicken the fading process is to exfoliate regularly to get rid of dead skin cells.

Did you know that the dust in your house is mostly made up of dead skin cells?

Imagine how much dead skin cells we shed a day!

Price:
RM 44, if i’m not mistaken. I forgot so i googled. But it’s around 40s.

Packaging:
The product comes in a little white tub of 100g. The body is semi-transparent so that you can see how much product you have left.

Smell:
This face scrub kinda smells like lemon tart to me. I don’t know, maybe it’s just be. To simply put it, it smells nice and sweet. It’s nothing too offensive. Korean products usually always smell nice.

Texture:
Rough and pasty. It feels a lot like unrefined sugar. It’s advisable to use a light hand when applying this product onto your face as the product is more on the rough side.

Application:
According to the website – after washing, apply desired amount onto face, avoiding eye and mouth areas. Mix with water or toner to reduce skin irritation, and massage. Wait 10 to 15 minutes, and then wash off with warm water.

Personally, i like to use this product right after a hot shower so that it’ll give my pores a good scrub. I’ll scoop up some of the product using a spoon and apply it using my hands. I’ll massage my face briefly by gently rubbing the scrub all over my face. 15 minutes later, i’ll rub some of the scrub over my lips to exfoliate them before washing everything off.

I don’t recommend applying this product while your hands and/or face is still wet because the face scrub will turn a little milky when it’s wet.

Verdict:
My skin was noticeably smoother and brighter after exfoliating with this product. It doesn’t make my skin like it’s too tight after using, but i would always follow up with a moisturizing mask after.

I would recommend this product as it was quite effective for me and the price is affordable as well. I don’t think this product will completely remove blackheads, but i think it will reduce them if used regularly like once a week. Those with sensitive skin can give this a try, just remember to be very gentle.

My sister’s final wedding dinner is happening next week and there’s still a lot to do. She ultimately decided that we will be literally getting our hands-on everything from picking flowers to arranging them into centerpieces, again.

I know it’s super last minute given the rather long period of time we had to prepare (i wonder how we ended up like this lol) but to tell you the truth, i don’t think it’s all that bad. I don’t mind working under time constraints some times. It gives me the chance to show how well i can perform under pressure. Today’s my rest day so it begins tomorrow. I also googled a bunch of pictures for inspiration so i’ll know what to get tomorrow.

Fighting!

Hoongmao updated his Xbox recently and we got a bunch of new games to play. One of them was this one, which is a third-person shooter game that also has a splitscreen co-op gameplay option. I had a bad experience playing my first Army of Two (Army of Two: 40th Day) game and i didn’t even make it pass the first chapter cause i was that bad.

But since there’s not many co-op games around, i had to give this a go and play it with the panda. I think it’s a lot better than the previous Army of Two, maybe because we have a bigger and wider tv now so it makes it easier to see.

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel trailer

The game focuses on two characters named Alpha (black mask) and Bravo (yellow). In co-op mode, the first player plays Alpha while the second player (which is me) plays Bravo. Although the game is a lot more fun compared to my first experience with Army of Two, it’s obvious that i’m still not very good at it judging from the number of times my character died. And the amount of swearing and grunting coming out from me – unbelievable.

Yes, i’m aware that this blog has been dead for quite some time now. Even Clappity Sundays hasn’t been up for a good whole month now. I guess it’s no surprise if i say i lost my blogging mojo. I was actually really sick last month. I had all the works – fever, flu and some other things. That’s when the updates started to slow down and eventually died off.

Well, good news is that i’m trying to pick it back up, which explains why i’m crawling back to this place now. Let’s see whether i hold up to my words because we all know how much i looove..
