Recently, my table has been overrun by coins. I had no idea i had so many coins either. Some loose change from here and there, and suddenly i’m stacking up coin towers on my table, which i keep knocking off onto the floor.

There’s only one way to solve this problem…

Which brings me to this little thing that i found last week. And my goodness, it’s one of the best discoveries i’ve ever made.

It’s a kitty coin bank!

Officially, it’s called an Itazura Coin Bank. Itazura means prank or mischief in Japanese. This little kitty sneaks up from a cardboard box and quietly takes your coin from the fish plate.

I’ve seen videos of this coin bank in action quite some time ago and only wished to have to cause it’s sooo cute. I saw that it was only available online, but i didn’t get it cause it was like one of those things that you wanna have but won’t actually spend money to buy it. It was quite expensive too.

So imagine my delight when i found it in KL selling for cheap! RM 38 for this little kitty is definitely worth it and it absolutely made my day (❁´◡`❁)

He has been given the name Ginko, which means bank in Japanese.

There are three other kitties too and they all come in different boxes. Watch this video (not mine) to see what Ginko looks like in action!
